I have KRBS regular saving that will mature at the end of January. Does anyone know the best way to close that accountant and possibly open a new one without the need to visit their branch?
I do not mind if I would not be able to open a new RSA if I could still get the account closed and get it transferred to my link account (or get Cheque).
Thank you for your information.
I know I then opened a new RS without having to visit the branch.
Maybe try ringing them to check.1 -

Slightly hazy about what happened but on the day of maturity I think that I set up the online access in one sitting, no need to wait for any letters to confirm, you are straight in after setup, and I sent the message. They already have your recipient bank details so low and behold, the next day the money had been transferred.
I sent my passbook in the envelope and got a call a week ago asking what I wanted done with it (completed and returned, of course). At this point they also offered to send me an application form to open another Regular Saver without having to go into the branch (the rate is 1%, I did not take up the offer).
Rather different from the handwritten passbooks and numerous forms you were given when going into the branch, and having to trudge over to Kent! Alas, really I have missed my annual pilgrimage this time.
Anyway, hope that helps.3 -
On the 6th of January my OH completed a form for a Tipton and Cosley regular saver and posted it off with his cheque. The cheque has not been cashed yet and he has not yet had a letter from the Tipton. In the meantime my Tipton regular save paying a magnificent 2% matures at the end of the month. The letter came today with the maturity instructions. The only option this year seems to be an Easy access maturity saver which needs a balance of £100 and it has a 0.25% interest rate. I am thinking of just leaving £100 in this account as a justincase sometime in the dim and distant future Tipton do revive their regular savers. I have not got the Tipton app saver - that came and went so fast.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0

Both open Tipley & Coseley app. As well as seeing when your account is opened you can send them messages"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

OH has now had a phone call from Tipton to say that they cant process his application because he is out of area. Apparently somewhere on the website it does specify that applications must come from their area but for the life of me I cant see where it does say specify this or what the postcode restrictions are (but looking at the first thread I can see it mentioned now). The chap did say that quite a few people have been caught out on this specifications and they have had to reject several applications. He also said that there is a possibility that there may be another regular saver on the app but he could not give any details of when and what.
