Mobile app received by post and app registration went fine.
Only a legacy account visible on there.
Successfully applied for new 'app only' 1.35% account (ends 31/12/21) and took note of sort code, account number and reference.
After application a new 1.35% zero balance account now showing but with an end date of 31/1/22 (i.e. the same as the postal one I separately applied for) and with a reference the same as the one above.
I'm confused and beginning to think we should take these Tipton RS discussions away from this thread to stop annoying others not interested.
The postal one I applied for has a date of 28/2/22...
You're correct I'll amend my OP. I wonder if the app is truncating the date.
It only shows 31.1
I assumed this was the 31st Jan. Possibly it's the truncation of 31.12.21
(Edit - after two hours and multiple logins this has now changed to the correct 31.12.21 format).
The message of 'Transfers are only permitted between accounts which have been opened via the Mobile App' just added to the confusion on this newly opened app account when using the Transfer function on this account.
There are definitely some idiosyncrasies which need ironing out on this app.1 -

I assumed this was the 31st Jan. Possibly it's the truncation of 31.12.21I had posted my postal application just before the app account was listed here. As I am a new customer to Tipton I thought that I’d wait for the postal one to arrive before registering the app. Hopefully then the app may show both accounts.0 -
I have accidentally moved too much money to a Tipton account, anyone know what will happen, I could not see anything on the site or t&c's. I imagine they will just send the whole lot back?
Having so many savers is a hazard!0 -
Tipton
Crikey! Were still there at 07.30 this morning, so only been removed since open for business.
Crazy world we in.
Managed to open and deposit into the app version.
Seeking clarification if next payment can be 1 Dec 2020, or 19 Dec 2020, as site said "calendar month", not anniversary month.0 -

I sent my postal application first thing yesterday 1st class, will I get the account or not???I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0 -
🤷♂️
I suppose you have a chance as the application form would only have been available to download while the product was available.1 -
For those applying by post for the Tipton - are you sending any ID as they mention?0
-
No I am already a saver with them but the form I sent back today said they would only need ID if they are unable to digitally do a check"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

Just had an email from Monmouthshire BS about a 2021 Christmas Saver.
Up to £1,000 a month, 1.1% variable, maturity 31 Oct 2021.https://www.monbs.com/products/christmas-saver-bond/
Although not sure I can be bothered with the faff you have to go through with them....especially as no withdrawals allowed but they can change the rate when they want.0
