    Good find, simply enough.
    1) download app (Virgin Money Home Buyer Coach)
    2) registered, put in email address, u get a email with a code
    3) need 100 credit, so read/complete couple checklist
    4) click where u got the point, exclusive saving account, great let's go, link will take u to VM website, log in normal, and boom , it's opened.

    Less than 10 mins work

Boom! Opened. Maybe I will buy a second house with the coaching help from this app :)

Really easy to do. I've opened and funded it already.

Virgin Money Home Buyer Coach for those who already have Virgin Money accounts

If you apply for this account and are asked whether you are an existing customer,  you can use your VM Regular Saver account credentials. Or you can sign up as a new customer, in which case you will be allocated yet another VM ID. You cannot use your login credentials you may have for the VM current account.

To log in to see / manage your Virgin Money Home Buyer Coach account later on, you need to log in under "Savings".
I've logged into My Account via the Savings route but can't see how to apply for the Home Buyer saver. It doesn't appear in the list of accounts. I've earned my 100 credits though.  :)

You need to start the application in the Home Buyer Coach app. In the checklist, find "Use the right savings accounts", and from there somewhere you can click on "Great, tell me more". That transports you to the actual application on the website.

This doesn't appear for me, it just shows the normal savings accounts, no option of the exclusive account.

    • This product is only available to eligible users of the Virgin Money Home Buying Coach app. If you are not a user of this app we will transfer your account to our standard Regular E-Saver.
I opened the account using the above link, then downloaded the VMHBC app and signed-up. The app only asks for your email address - hopefully they use to cross-reference to your account. Can't see where a 'user' is defined - eg. log-in once and forget it ?
  • Thanks BeachNut.
I too used the Virgin Money Home Buyer Coach app but used a throwaway email address that is different for my savings accounts. So I've met the condition but there'll be no way to link my app and my savings accounts.
How will Virgin Money police the condition anyway?

A bit of a faff to open but worth it! I've linked my new account with all the other ones I have so they all show when I log in. I suspect VM will be surprised tomorrow when they notice how many new accounts have been opened all of a sudden!
