    Bath BS Interest Rate Reductions From 3/1/25:

    16-25 Regular Saver from 7.29% to 7.09%
    Homestart Regular Saver from 4.74% to 4.54%
    The Regular Saver from 4.24% to 4.04%
    Thank you @bridlington1 - were these on the cards already please? Don't remember them writing to us. Though if their reduction notice period is only 14 days, I guess they aren't out of time yet - unsure.
    They weren't on their website when I checked yesterday evening so it's hot(ish) off the press so to speak.

    Last time their rates were cut I received a letter 11 days before their rate cut came into effect and queried this point. The line they used was the general Ts&Cs state:

    And thus if they choose to notify you by post they only have to send the letter at least 14 days before they make the rate cut, the letter can however arrive within 14 days of the rate cut coming into effect without it breaching the Ts&Cs.

    Thanks for explaining :) I think their argument would be that they can't control how long the post would take, but really they aught to make an allowance of a few days for delivery as good practice.

  • BOE rate to stay at 4.75%!

    Might stop some of the RS slipping further, as we’ve seen a lot lately.

    Only ex RS customers can get the Gatehouse account @ 5%

    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.

    My Cahoot 5.12% will end it's term on 18th January and if there's no change GH EARS will become my main Easy Access account.  Two things I will miss - instant withdrawals and ability to fund my regular savers directly. I've been spoiled by Santander, Ulster and Cahoot in the past couple of years.
