I'm happy to wait for my account to mature into an 'easy whatever' and have the money transferred to my nominated account. Don't see what all the fuss is about.
This "default" action will take 3 working days to move deposits + interest into your nominated account (which you'll have to do yourself). Might well be 5 lapsed days.

Having maturity instructions set would make this move to the nominated account occur on the maturity date.

I'd rather be using my £3600+ to feed other RS's on the 1st, rather than funding from other accounts.
Is it about Gatehouse? I was under impression that the balance will be transferred to EA on maturity date and as far as I remember withdrawals arrive on the same day. Did I miss something in t&c?
I hope you are right and I have misremembered.
    This is what I received….

“If we do not receive your maturity instruction before the maturity date, your deposit will be transferred to a Gatehouse Bank Easy Access account. To read more about the Gatehouse Bank Easy Access account and to view the terms and conditions for the account, please visit www.gatehousebank.com/personal/savings/easy-access-account.”
The link for which is an error 404  :D

Not the most competent of organisations
Either that or the craftiest?  :)

I hope they move it into my easy access account that is already up and running, I guess I will find out on Friday.

When I saw that there was finally an easy access account offered by Gatehouse I immediately opened it last week and connected it with my linked current account. So they SHOULD use it to move the funds from my regular saver when it matures on December 2nd (hopefully speaking).
Gatehouse have offered an Easy Access since the regular saver was launched, unless I'm missing something? Mine is almost a year old.

I've used it before but can't remember the timescales, so have just withdrawn a tenner from the EA to my linked current account as a test and looks like next working day deposits. My RS matures this Friday so probably no usable funds til Monday.  EDIT: withdrawal just landed same day, so happy days

Re Gatehouse - just got an email response to my question about maturity options:

Thank you for your email of 24 November.

If you hold a Regular Saver with us then this will automatically mature in to an Easy Access account, Once this account has matured you will be able to withdraw funds or reinvest from the Easy Access account.

They need a competent administrator to check communications.

Yes you r missing something. There hasn't been an easy access account on offer in the last 6-7 months (yours is older than that)

Gatehouse Easy Access was around for a while, I've opened mine in October 2022.

i just did a test withdrawal of some odd pence from my easy access account with Gatehouse and I got the following message

    Transaction Completed

    Information relating to your transaction

    • All transfers to nominated accounts are made electronically. This means that the money transferred should be in your nominated account, by Faster Payment, on the day of withdrawal.
So it looks like the money from the Regular Saver will arrive in time to fund other regular savers on the 1st

Do I early in the day, I think the cut off is 13.00pm.
From memory, I could be wrong.

    Gatehouse RS Issue 1 Maturity

I sent a secure message on Sunday requesting a transfer of all funds on maturity to my nominated account. Response (including typos) received today as follows:-

Thank you for your secure message on 24 November. I can confirm that upon maturity of your Regular Saver Account, all funds including any profit earnt will be automatically transferred into an Easy Access account. On your maturity date, a ‘move money’ option will become available for withdrawals to be made. Apologies that the maturity reminder email you have received does not clearly sate this. This has been passed on as feedback for continuous improvement.

I requested the withdrawal at 13.45 and it is showing in my bank account now, less than 2 hours later. Not sure exactly how long it took to arrive as I have only just checked.

Same memory here.  GH process payments at 1pm and you get confirmation by e-mail and text message at about 13:06. I don't think I've ever attempted transactions after 13:00, so not sure what happens then, but all my morning withdrawals arrived on the same day.
