Made my initial payment into Market Harborough RS, an exact COP match required first initial and surname, despite them formatting my name in the online account area as Title First Initial Middle Initial Surname.

They also omitted a letter from my title when carrying out the ID check, but I had downloaded the confirmation and was able to verify that the error was not of my making. Wasn’t asked for ID thankfully, as would have had to ask for a paper statement and wait for it to be delivered before being able to comply.

The OH Reg Saver matured today and to open the new 6.5% edition has failed in the app earlier today. Intend was to open the new edition today to deposit £200 today and again tomorrow to maximise the interest of the 13 contributions possible. It does say Instant Access Saver 10 in the app and the funds plus interest are there and accessible.

Their system is saying a reg saver is still active and that you can have only one issue, etc.

Any advice on possibilities to open it today?

Usually need to wait up to 24 hours. If I were you I'd try again later this afternoon.
Mine matured Friday, wasn't able to open new account until today.

Your OH should be able to apply for the new Nationwide RS after midnight tonight

Thanks but better to wait until October then and open on the 31st so maturity is Friday 31st October 2025

If you open earlier in the month, you can make 13 payments

Maybe Oct 30th.. this problem will recur every year unless their systems change to clear the old account from your record at the same time as it becomes an Instant Access 10.

Your OH could phone them and see if they will override it, otherwise try again in a few hours, as it said up to 24. If opened with only an hour of September to go or something, the payment will probably be dated 1 October anyway.

Should mature overnight tonight and be available tomorrow even though the maturity date (on mine at least) is showing as 30/9/24.

Notts BS always tend to do this in my experience.

They all share the same maturity date. Think I might keep £10 in to remain a member given the rumours that Nottingham BS could be absorbing their Beehive brand

Thanks for this, I've queried this with BBS and this has saved me waiting on their reply. Any knowledge of how quickly a request to move funds to nominated a/c from the EA might take to be actioned?
