    Issue 3 is now 6.50% isn't it?

My 8% should mature over the weekend.
After the fixed term ends, we’ll transfer your account to an instant access savings product.

    What`s  stopping you opening issue 3 today @ 6.5%?
The T%C state you are only allowed one account of each issue!
When I tried opening the 6.50% a while ago (already have the 8%) a message popped up saying couldn't open as already have the product.

The Summary Box for the current Issue 3 does say
You can only be named on one Flex Regular Saver product at any time (of any Issue).

Must be different from issue 2 which says:

    Conditions for holding your account
You need to be aged 16 or over.
You must have a Nationwide current account. If this account is closed after you’ve opened a Flex Regular Saver Issue 2, we may transfer your
account to an instant access savings product. The terms and conditions and the interest rate for that product will then apply. We’ll tell you
personally before we transfer your account.
Your account can be in sole or joint names and you can have a maximum of two joint account holders. Only one of the account holders must
have a Nationwide current account. Otherwise, all account holders must meet these conditions to hold the account.
You can only be named on one Flex Regular Saver Issue 2 account at any time.
If it’s been more than 28 days since you opened your account and you still haven’t paid any money in, we’ll close it.
You must be registered to use the Internet Bank and have a valid email address.

Not true, they state "You can only be named on one Flex Regular Saver product at any time (of any Issue)"

Is anyone prepared to admit that they've found this conditiion didn't turn out to be entirely enforced yet?

    See post before yours.

You can only be named on one Flex Regular Saver Issue 2 account at any time.

Yes, see above posts.  If you follow the application through to the bitter end, it eventually tells you that it can't be opened as you already have a Flex Regular Saver.

Would it be worth those who want Issue 3 closing today? If you were an early adopter, the account matures over the weekend meaning a wait to redistribute the funds anyway. Anything in Nationwide’s terms to prevent this that I’ve missed and/or do their systems take a while to realise that you don’t have an active Flex Regular Saver product any longer?

Melton online access sorted and the account number is in there. Was going to do a test payment first using the details on their website and wondered whether you are restricted to funding from your nominated account only? I couldn’t see anything but started to wonder when setting up the online access, as the last 4 digits of the account number were used a security measure.

    I can't see that there's anything to prevent you from closing early if you want to but, according to the message that pops up if you try applying for a second Flex Regular Saver if you already have one, it states;
"please note: it can take up to 24 hours for a closed account to clear from our records"
