    I've also asked about the weekend deposits - the interest will accrue on weekend deposits.

    Yes I did, nothing from Melton in there.

    I don’t believe I currently have a chequebook.

    Yes. A couple of days after posting the application they phoned me to confirm the account details to make an electronic deposit. They won't send the passbook until they've had the deposit (so it can be stamped onto it). You can select electronic payment on the application form rather than cheque.
  • Hoping Nationwide still have issue 3 of the Flex Regular Saver open tomorrow so I can open one after my issue 2 matures (I'm sure they will, just really bad timing if they choose to close issue 3 in the next 12 hours!).

    I was thinking along similar lines.

    I can`t see NW just waiting for yours to mature tomorrow and withdrawing it today!
    Regular Flex 2 must be maturing for someone every day this month from tomorrow.
    Mine being the last day of the month.
    That`s why I went for VM last month at 10.38% and up to £250 a month.

    Well issue 2 launched on 21 September 2023 I believe, so the first ones will be maturing tomorrow  :)
