  • Tipton Fixed Rate 31.10.24 - app only

Has anyone been contacted (a minimum of 14 days prior to maturity) regarding the maturity options as per the fact sheet?
We're only mid-September so you've got about another month to go before I think you'll see something. If it's anything like the 1st issue it will be really straightforward to set up in the app.

    Appreciate this.

    I best reintroduce that s.o.

YBS Loyalty Regular eSaver matures in 1 day and interest (£246.45) just added today.
    £246.81 for me.

Not totally sure why the transactions list in app shows that as Transfer £246.81 and gross interest £6246.81 for 1 entry & also withdrawal of - £0.00 with tax paid £6246.81 as another but ok.

Hardly used the account as the Monmouthshire Regular offered the same rate with unlimited withdrawals, and paid into some 6%+ fixes first as I didn’t expect 7% to hold through the term. £3.08, what will I spend all that on?

I had read of the YBS adjustment here before. Would we be OK to withdraw tomorrow (mine says matures in one day) or is the quirk such that savers ought to wait until Friday?

EDIT: Monmouthshire Issue 2 maturity pack just arrived. Nothing exciting except a prepaid envelope. I had initially thought I’d get the Exclusive Issue 2 with these proceeds but now glad that I changed my mind and applied as it was reported NLA a few days ago. Letter dated 13th September for a 2nd October maturity.

Got the same pack through the post with Monmouthshire. Can you provide maturity options online so when it matures on the 2nd October it gets moved away the same day?

My wife's Exclusive Issue 1 saver matured yesterday. Code didn't work but sending the paper copy in (with passbook, a good reason you should keep hold of it!) and instructions had it paid in to the specified account, no bother.

Funds arrived the day after maturity.
You don’t need the code and you don’t need to send the form back with your passbook. When the RS matures to an EA account you can withdraw your money to a linked current account the same day.

So long as your web access is working; my wife's isn't and in general I wouldn't rely on it. There's a reason they request maturity instructions in advance.
I think that they send out the maturity options in advance to try to encourage you to transfer your RS on maturity to another one of their savings products. Their web access has been very reliable for me.

Looking to apply for this. Don’t hold any accounts with them and aware I need a current account first. Once I’ve applied for the current account, can I apply for the RS straight away or do they have any slow/manual processing or codes in the post please? Thanks

Not sure what they are like these days but yes you need the current account 1st to be eligible for the regular saver.

In theory it should be quick to open once you are setup with the current account.

Yes, you can apply as soon as your current account is opened. It's been long time so things might have changed, I've applied on 22nd Feb and the RS was opened on 26th, 24th and 25th were weekends, so it took two working days to get it opened.

I applied for it in early April and no issues and got everything in terms of paperwork by post. OH applied same day and only just last week got a response to the complaint and some compensation (too low for all the stress) as they massively screwed up.

I have stopped funding mine and this will be the first one to get rid off when I am eligible again for a future switch offer.

    It doesn't.

It shows a transfer of £246.81 interest, giving you a balance of £6246.81, and a withdrawal of £0 tax (presumably a quirk they can't (easily) remove from the old days where they withheld tax on interest) meaning your balance is still £6246.81.
