I've sent my application on 10th Sept and received two letters today. You have to call them to get a temporary password, so I did. Half has been given to me verbally on the phone and the other half will be e-mailed. This was about 30 minutes ago and I still didn't get an email (was promised to receive it in a couple of minutes). Might need to call again if I don't receive this e-mail.Kim_13 said:Melton
I was just wondering what other forumites have received from them, I just received two letters and it feels like there ought to be another somewhere. I have heard nothing else from them since sending off my application 2nd class a week ago.
I have a letter giving me a customer number and on which there is a verification code for my nominated account, and a letter dated a day later with my User ID. I assume I’m ok to proceed with the password reset advised by another poster and could then log in to enter the code, as the letter states it is only valid for 30 days from issue.
I've also asked about the weekend deposits - the interest will accrue on weekend deposits.0 -

Re. Melton:
Has anyone tried opening this account without using a cheque?
I don’t believe I currently have a chequebook.
@BestSeagull I believe you mentioned you may try to do so upthread (https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/80985704#Comment_80985704?utm_source=community-search&utm_medium=organic-search&utm_term=melton+cheque)1 -
Yes. A couple of days after posting the application they phoned me to confirm the account details to make an electronic deposit. They won't send the passbook until they've had the deposit (so it can be stamped onto it). You can select electronic payment on the application form rather than cheque.sta0612 said:Re. Melton:

Hoping Nationwide still have issue 3 of the Flex Regular Saver open tomorrow so I can open one after my issue 2 matures (I'm sure they will, just really bad timing if they choose to close issue 3 in the next 12 hours!).0

I was thinking along similar lines.t1redmonkey said:Hoping Nationwide still have issue 3 of the Flex Regular Saver open tomorrow so I can open one after my issue 2 matures (I'm sure they will, just really bad timing if they choose to close issue 3 in the next 12 hours!).

I can`t see NW just waiting for yours to mature tomorrow and withdrawing it today!t1redmonkey said:Hoping Nationwide still have issue 3 of the Flex Regular Saver open tomorrow so I can open one after my issue 2 matures (I'm sure they will, just really bad timing if they choose to close issue 3 in the next 12 hours!).
Regular Flex 2 must be maturing for someone every day this month from tomorrow.
Mine being the last day of the month.
That`s why I went for VM last month at 10.38% and up to £250 a month.0 -
Well issue 2 launched on 21 September 2023 I believe, so the first ones will be maturing tomorrow2010 said:
