Anyone know of a tool, other than https://www.thecalculatorsite.com/finance/calculators/compoundinterestcalculator.php, into which we can put the date of transactions, the transaction amount, and the rate of interest between certain dates to check the right amount was paid please? Thanks

If you are happy to use an App based compound interest calculator then I can recommend “Compound Interest Calc” found at https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/compound-interest-calc/id543747638

I can't tell from the description/screenshots, but does that app allow additional deposits to be entered with variable amounts/frequency, as well as changes to interest rates (i.e. like a variable rate savings account), effectively mirroring a real account?

Thanks for the suggestion @michaelAP but I’ve got the same question as @amityneon - doesn’t look like rates can be changed, or further deposits of different amounts can be added.

Perhaps I just need to create a good old Excel template

Paid my Beehive RS at 8am this morning as it’s the 1st of the month. Normally shows up very quickly regardless of weekday/weekend. Still not showing. Anyone else?

Just checked SO leaving Santander to Beehive as expected, nothing updated in Beehive app yet suspect due to it being a bank holiday. Not even sure it shows up straight away, although transactions are previously dated 1st of month.

Gatehouse and Principality RS paid in  just after midnight and already duly updated using their on line App. Well done.

Unfortunately not. The only way to have additional deposits with variable amounts/frequencies would be to calculate your interest at a daily rate, then on the day of a deposit start afresh with a new principal amount. I fully accept this is not practical for ease of use. Most likely the idea mentioned by @ForumUser7 mentions is to create a spreadsheet.

The same here. It shows 31/12 in previous years on my statement, but I've never checked how soon the interest was shown on the statement.  My guess is we will see the interest credited and dated 31/12 by the end of today or tomorrow.

Thanks. Yeah I never check usually but was prompted to after reading @Bridlington1 post about end of year interest!
