    Thanks both.

    If I open this account, it’d be my first one with a Sharia bank

    Anything to be aware of with this, or gatehouse in general? Seen they were issued a fine by the FCA for poor anti money laundering checks https://www.fca.org.uk/news/press-releases/fca-fines-gatehouse-bank-1.5m-poor-anti-money-laundering-checks

    Worth noting that although the rate is variable, no withdrawals/closure are allowed until the end of the term, unless the rate is reduced.
    I see you can carry over payments and miss payments plus min pay in is a £1 so I think it's worth a punt.
    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.

    You can't carry over payments from previous months. From the terms:

    I'd agree though that with a £1 minimum deposit and the ability to skip months it is worth opening, though £1 is all they're getting from me for the next few months at least due to my circumstances.

    Will it be possible to open and fund before end of November?
  • Just spoke to Gatehouse.
    I will not be opening this until Friday the 1th December. As 25th cut off has been missed.
    Their notes say the same, 25th cut off for the month.
    Its been raised up the chain.
    But its up to you to decide if you want the agro that might be caused by this and loss of interest for near on a month.
    My suggestion was you should have opend this 2 day later.
