Does anyone know how to view/set up standing orders on the app? Can’t find the option?

That's for current accounts. I don't know if standing orders are available for savers.

I can set up standing orders on my everyday savers account on the desktop, can’t find how on the app though..
  • Hallelujah;...at about the  7th time of asking I’ve finally got logged on  to my account;...I did nothing differently during the App set-up procedure but after authenticating my i.d. it suddenly went to ‘device authentication ’ which it hadn’t done previously.

After hitting the ‘device authentication ’ button I was immediately logged in to my account!....didn’t need to enter the 6-digit pincode or anything, which was a bit odd!,...it obviously remembers the logon credentials from the previous set-up attempts and only asked for the 6-digit pincode after I logged out and logged in again.

I did a test transaction to my NatWest current account,...simple enough,...all ok.

I’ve been arsing around with this sodding App on and off all day!!!!!....still got my wife’s iphone to set-up!

Finally managed to get my wife’s iphone App downloaded and working properly last night after about the 5th attempt;...exactly the same faff as loading the App on my own iphone as detailed above.

If Al Rayan wish to withdraw online Banking then that’s their prerogative, but giving customers just a few days notice (2 days of which are system maintenance days!) is very unseemly, imho.

The system doesn't let me login to the old desktop version any more but take your word for it.
I can't find the option on either the phone or desktop app. Guess you'll need to ask them

You can request the old version desktop to be unlocked. That's what I did and am now using that again until it's shut down permanently. You can make payments on the old but you will not see an up to date list of transactions or balance.
  • Logging into my account via the App has now blocked me from using online access via my laptop;...when I attempt to logon online I get this message:

“You have been refused entry into this site.
Your user login is currently blocked which could be for a couple of reasons: A failed security check or you have recently registered for the latest Mobile Banking app. For support call: 0800 408 6407.”

So, my online access has disappeared a few days earlier than I expected;...not really worth ringing the support line.

Old desktop version is locked as soon as you register the app. You then have to use the new desktop version.

Thanks. I'm confused with switch off 26th Feb vs. "Al Rayan says it will provide affected customers with a hard-token device which will allow them to carry on accessing their accounts online from a desktop computer". I assume all methods will amount to the app not the old version so I'll stick with the change, but I don't like mobile banking and they've done a bad job of explaining and implementing it.
