Well done Tete, slimmer of the week again. Vegetarian meals working well. I might do better if I lived alone. Pringles found their way into the cupboard along with mars bars.
Thanks Chieveley! Living alone can be good or bad, depending on how strong you are in the supermarket - if anything does sneak into the cupboards, there's no one there to say "You're not having ANOTHER KitKat?!"  :#

    Well done all the losers!

Well done to all the losers.  Congratulations Tete on being SOTW again this week.  Are you enjoying the veggie meals? A lady from my group did veggie January and her health improved so much she's decided to continue veggie for the foreseeable.

Enjoying our holiday but wish the weather was better!  It's Ok at the moment but definitely a few black clouds around too.

Sorry your break has been cancelled Maman.  Probably easier to stick to plan at home, 😁.

At least we don't see any news while we're away Vegastare, but understand what you mean.

Sorry about your break being cancelled Maman.  One of my work colleagues is due to go on a cruise this weekend leaving from Florida to the Caribbean.... she's a little dubious, but still going, but we are concerned she may end up quarantined if it's like the other liner off of California, because she's our cashier and it will have a big impact on the business if she doesn't return on time (and my wages too!!).  We currently have another member of staff on a crash course to operate the banking system in our office.... this may not end well
It has made us wonder about how things will pan out over the next few months though, and I'm not going to part with any more £ for our holiday we have booked to take in the Canaries in Sept., so that we don't potentially lose that £, or have to go through the faff of trying to claim it back again.  At the moment we have only paid £100 deposit.

Weekend food was a tad off piste (again :disappointed: )  Plodding away at it the rest of the time though.
    Today:
    B - toast 6.5
L - porridge HEB & bad planning on my part given breakfast, sugar (2) water & splash of milk from HEA & cinnamon; muller light yogurt (1)
    snack - jelly, strawberries & cream (3)
D - chicken pasta with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions & peppers.  Will allow (2) for any additional sauce used

One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home
  • Shame about Belfast Maman, but for a reason. Family are supposed to be emigrating to Canada on Friday from Egypt, on top of the natural nerves about starting a new life. they still don't know if their flight is going, because if it doesn't, there will be potentially alot of money & time down the pan. Once the Canadians grant the visa, they have six months to do it, which is not that long really, once you factor in 3 months notice period at work, trying to sort out kids school fees and when you need to stop paying them etc (sounds snobbish, but you need to pay to get a good education in Egypt), pack and everything. Anyway, the Canadians need to have them deemed as landed by 10th April, or visa becomes invalid. So praying hard that it goes on Friday, or else it could be very very tight.

Was a tad off plan on Saturday so trying to reverse, not made easy by having to weigh a day early, well was supposed to, as I was supposed to be in BBC Question Time audience on Thursday. Been cancelled and moved to another venue, so I now have a bonus day to fix things! I hope so :(
A smile costs little but creates much :)

Yes I will get a complete refund on our booking tete. Fortunately I'd booked a hotel and flight package so it was ATOL protected. It's very worrying GTQ, my package was only for a few hundred pounds but a trip to Canada with all the admin involved sounds like a nightmare. Obviously health has to be a priority and in my case there are hundreds of people who have lost their jobs because of Flybe but there must be thousands of people who have lost money through no fault of their own.

I have sympathy with people doing SW who buy in treats for the family.  There's just DH and I at home now and I find the best way is to buy him treats that I don't like. I can live with any amount of biscuits and cakes in the house but crips are banned except for high days and holidays.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), fried egg (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- ham (P), fried potato (F), fried veg and pickles (S)
    D- veggie chilli (P,S), brown rice (F)
    Syns- 0
