You've got one cheeky sister there bubbs!  Still at least she's been looking after you even if you have been cooking, LOL!

I messed up this morning as DH told me when I started cooking our usual fry up!  We were supposed to have been having kedgeree this morning as I have some smoked haddock which needs using up as we didn't have fish pie in the end.  So today's plan:

    B - fry up - bacon, eggs, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes - P; S; F
L - kedgeree - rice; smoked haddock; onions; dried spices; bay leaf (no eggs as DH doesn't like them with fish) - F; P; S
D - braised leg of lamb with vegetables - lamb; carrots; onions; parsnips; turnips; swede; potatoes; leeks - P; S; F (this is a new to me recipe from an old SW book 100 days of EE meals)

    HEA - milk
HEB - none planned but it's available if I want something later
Syns - none planned but might have a couple of G&Ts this evening if I fancy it (but after a couple of off plan days probably ought to save the Syns!)

Of course your sister will miss having you to cook for her bubbs. All of us drool over the meals you make so we know what she'll be missing. ;)

I was only thinking this morning that we haven't had lamb for a while denise. That's mainly because it's expensive and because I prefer the fattier cuts like shoulder and breast so not very SW friendly. When I see some at a fair price I do a lamb shank recipe which is basically braising them on a bed of parsnips, leeks and carrots. It sounds similar to what you're having. Thinking about it, it's probably cheaper to buy ready cooked lamb shanks from a supermarket. I may try that.

I just looked at the SW website and they're updating it in the spring. The page I looked at had overprinting. I do hope we don't end up with an incompetent mess like mse.:s
(No idea why the smileys work intermittently)
    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, half banana, skinny syrup (F), HEB porage with HEA milk
    L- veggie omelette (P,S) with beetroot (S)
D- roast chicken (P), SW roast potatoes (F), LM stuffing balls (F), cabbage, carrots, swede, cauli, broccoli
Syns: HM gravy 4? weekend wine

    Congratulations tete

Sorry to hear you've had such a tough week tie. Do you ever think about looking for another job? Yours seems to create so much stress and anxiety. Is it worth it?:(

Meant to say bubbs that it is definitely 8 weeks for target members to go to WI before you get thrown off the website. Are you home for picky tea tonight? :)

I'm in a quandary about WI. If I go this week and I'm out of range I can't go the week after because we're away and you can't book a holiday in grace week AFAIK. If I leave it until 19th then I'm definitely going to be out of range after my holiday. I'll probably do that and if I have to pay then so be it. While I don't like paying, SW has made very little out of me in recent years so I don't begrudge it to my consultant. That's why I almost always take something for the SoW basket too.

I've made some swede & carrot mash this afternoon, some for tomorrow and some for the freezer. I've also defrosted one of my freezers and redone my inventory so very pleased with myself. o:)

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), scrambled eggs (P), HEB toast and HEA milk for drinks
    L- ham (P), bubble & squeak (F,S), beetroot (S)
D- Aldi chicken curry (P,S) with HM pilau rice, SW chips (F) and extra mushrooms and peppers (S)
Syns- HP sauce 1, curry 1 (actually less as it's 1.5 for the pack), weekend wine;)
Better the devil you know! Don’t know what else I’d want to do, love being with the children (even his nibs most days  :p).
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

  • I can get onto the site, cost me a new iPad though, turns out that I couldn’t update the software, been thinking for a while that my trusty old machine needed replacing, so was forced into it, but new one is amazingly fast now😂

Have made a turkey chilli, looks yum but have to keep telling myself that I don’t need to eat a bowl of it with some nice crusty bread. Cooking dinner for my brother later in week, could give him that, but think he would prefer steak & chips with salad!
A smile costs little but creates much :)
