Hello and a good Friday to all :)
I told Dad that you all like the photos, he worries that they won't be.
Big rain this morning and it looks set for the day, it does mean that Dad will take the car to the shops rather than me and I will miss out on a walk  he will take me out when he comes home but it's not the same.

K9 - I am border collie with Aussie Kelpie mixed in 50/50 so yes, I do have boundless energy and because I have no recall, Dad has to do all the work to keep me exercised, he is looking for a secure field so that he can let me off the lead but there is not one locally and the best I get is a basketball court for a kick about with a football.

Have a great day in what you do.

Morning Duncan (say Hi to your dad), morning Mungo, morning everyone else. Sorry I haven't been around much, my family tree work just got VERY interesting with a possible random link solved - waiting on a copy of their marriage certificate to find out more.

Yes, a good morning and good Friday to all.
Not heard about oil of cloves Indie.  Do hope you find some and it works K9.  I’ve had bad tooth ache  and know what it’s like.   Big hugs.

Thanks for the pictures Duncan’s Dad,    Very interesting.  Swans are fascinating great you have so many near you Indie.

Hope you have a good day off Indie.

    Morning all,
Bucketing down here and set to continue, typical as from today we are finally allowed to go more than 5 miles for exercise and recreation! Unfortunately there has been a cross border cluster of virus cases (10) in our region and towns near Cumbria aren't being relaxed from that , so silly since the Cumbria side can do what they like. Anyway we are 30 miles away from it so not affected.
DD lives there though, but back at work now so in the meantime not bothered as long as the beer gardens open on Monday night when she is off!
Great pics Duncan. My DD has a collie/lab and he needs so much exercise as he is only 2.
Walked round a loch yesterday and saw some swans and a cygnet. There used to be loads of swans there as there is a caravan site and people were always feeding them but as the site has been shut they have mainly vanished. Wonder if they will appear back now as visitors return.

Well had a good walk today - here and there and back here again. 3.5 miles roughly, so not comparable to Duncan, but the best I've managed for a few weeks anyway.  7300 steps and I do about 100 steps per minute, so say 3mph which is a reasonable speed for me  :)

I got to speak to one of the dentists (after I'd already bought clove oil and some clove paste  :(  ) and he said not to use it as I would risk burning my gums as from looking at my dental records and some in the street 'self dentistry' (tap on this tooth, then the next one lol ),thought I probably had an infection and needed anti-biotics which I've now collected.  Got to ring back on Monday to tell them if tooth has settled at all, but if not he'll arrange for me to come in for a proper look.

That's my exciting morning over, just had a warm coffee and really should eat but can't - thinking about a banana perhaps.

Never heard it burning anyone K9, i asked a few girls at work what they use and they all use it and a nurse even recomended it but everyone is different. I hope the antibiotics kick in soon.
I think there are clusters all over sheils, Hope DD don't overdo it at work and she can get to a beer garden on monday, lol. I am so glad pubs are limiting time people can stay in there and some are only letting them have 3 pints as I dread to think how over the top some people would go.

Clove oil was always recommended to me too, at least I have some now in my 'medical drawer' just in case the anti-biotics don't work.  :)  Dentist did say if it doesn't settle, an extraction might be required as they're not able to do any root canal work for now .....

    Good Morning :)

Clove oil was what Dustin Hoffman used in Marathon Man
Cool and bright here this morning with no sign of the promised rain, hope it stays that way as I never got to the park yesterday, it tends to get a bit soggy in wet weather. Dad has a new chest mount for his small camera so might try it out if we go to the park, it is like a dashcam for humans. ;)
    Have fun

Morning,   So hope the antibiotics work for you K9.   We didn’t manage a walk around the block yesterday as by the time we were ready to go it rained.  Still we did have a sandwich at lunchtime sat out in the garden.   Sheils hope your DD is able to enjoy a trip to the beer garden.
DD1 and GS have coped better with her working a full week from home last week. She has full week next week too. Normally she has Wednesdays off.  It’s hard for them being on her own with no help and we can’t risk helping.   Although at present our area doesn’t appear to be one of those with clusters.

Duncan the chest mount for camera made me smile but sounds very practical when he probably needs both hands to keep hold of your lead.

Yesterday I heard I’ve won a bar of soap.  The other day I ordered a wash bag from Etsy to keep as a present and thought I need something to go in it.

    Take care all.

Well done on the soap win,now you have something to put in your wash bag, lol. I am glad to hear your  DDI and GS have coped ok, but it is hard as i brought my DS up on my own with nearest family over 100 miles away.
Hope it stays dry so you can have your run in the park Duncan. It's been raining here since the early hours, and the wind yesterday was been terrible. I seemed to spend a lot of time picking things up from back garden and putting them back, although i did get 2 machine loads of washing dry so not all bad. I have a few bits to pick up from shops later then i am going to comp.
Hope you all have a good weekend
    Stay safe.
