Dad is sitting watching Day of The Triffids on Horror channel and laughing at it
no doubt that he won't remember hiding behind the sofa the first time he saw it all those years ago
I have been a bit on edge today, I missed the bin lorry at 3pm as we were out a walk and I have been barking at everything else instead.

Morning all
Hope all are well today.
Toothache not goodAccording to the dentist "we can't open until we get our PPE".
Just looked online and apparently ibuprofen is the recommended painkiller for toothache, so will try that.
Have a good day and stay safe.
And Duncan, try not to run the legs off your dad!3 -
Good Morning
K9, Dad says staying drunk is good for a toothache
I may walk the legs off Dad but one thing I have learned about him is that he just doesn't run, even that shuffle he does when crossing the road is not actually faster than his best walk.
We had a nice slow walk in the park first thing and I got lots of sniffs, I never found anything but lots of trails of different things.
Dad has already said that he is going out to the garden today so it looks like I will be stuck inside for a while.
Have fun in what you do.
Just as an aside, does anyone know if the boy/girl thing in the Yazoo ad are meant to be brother and sister or ???2 -

Our ten o'clock walk was not a long one today but did bring us all sorts of things to look at and great that Dad took his camera with him.
First up was a pair of swans and some ducks sharing a pond, these swans did not lay any eggs this year but there has been a move to build a nest platform in the middle for them.
Next up were a whole lot of baby frogs, it looked like they had just emerged from the water and were on there way somewhere else although this got Dad confused as the direction they were going there was no body of water at all and only dried up gullies that needed a lot of rain before they got wet.
Could not get a picture of a group but here is a single one, it is about the size of a 5p.
We then arrived at out target location and found that the swans here had left the nest with 2 eggs unhatched and some ducks had moved in to roost.
We found the swans further along underneath the footbridge in what is possible the worst looking area of the whole pond system, the blue/green algae is rampant and all the human rubbish tends to gather round here as well but both parent swans were constantly feeding off the bottom and the 4 chicks seemed happy enough as well.
A good walk4 -
wow, big thanks duncan & dad
love the pictures 👍 👍 hope the baby frogs find thier way to a safe place for them,
fingers crossed the nest platform will get built for the swanson a sad note shame on the humans that leave their rubbish behind in places where the wildlife try to survive
big thanks again for pics you've made me smile very much this eveningplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.3 -
Morning
Nice photo's.well done Duncan and dad. We have a pair of swans that visit the water just over the road from where I live and they always bring their little n's with them. There is a place we call the creek I pass on the way to work and they all seem to meet there I counted 27 one morning.
K9 try Oil of Cloves around the gum of the tooth, that takes the pain away. You can get it in some chemists and supermarkets.
Glad you got your walk in before the downpour leanfun.
I was working yesterday and have a couple of days off now.The sun is out so i may be able to get some washing out later.
Have a good day and stay safe.5 -
Morning Compers ....
Bright here but overcast forecast for most of the day
Heading into town this am to buy more pills and some clove oil for my tooth.
Can't eat, hardly sleeping. Made me think about animals when they suffer and can't even say!
Hope everyone including Duncan are ok. It's many years (about 40) since I last had a dog, would probably do me some good, but from memory quite a bit of work involved. Duncan 'looks' like a border collie, don't know if he is, but not surprised he needs so much exercise and attention. I'll stick to our cat for now ....
