Exciting news, Kaz! Fingers crossed that it is to the coastal area of my childhood that I seem remember that you also love.
Shelf painting done, washing draped aruond the house, downstairs vacuumed through. It’s blowing a hoolie outside, with the added attraction of horizontal rain. I am so looking forward to having to go out later...10 -

Our car is half dead.. apparently it needs a full service and new brake pads.. we did a 100+ mile drive at 40-60 MPH yesterday.. it took HOURS.. the uphill bit was sloooooooooooooooooooooow and we pretty much coasted downhill to pick up a bit of speed and hoped we didn't have to brake! That is hopefully being dealt with on Saturday.. everything crossed! No long drives for us anyway as a rule, we no longer do one weekend a month at the inlaws due to swimming and OHs work. Needless to say Pixie was upchucking at 4am as she doesn't travel well.
I need to do a decent shop but we have swimming, Dots assessment, Squeaks residential and a holiday to pay for so food is the very last thing on our list at the moment. I need worm meds for mogs too.
We havent even emptied the car from the inlaws, I have 4 cases of dirty washing.. OH is cleaning out Sarah (the fish) her tank is revolting.. I will need to get some more of her water additives but she is looking a bit distressed with a furry puddle of kittens thinking she is a tv. We had intended to go to OH's work for dinner but I am too tired and it's getting late ... 4:22 and no sign of getting dark yet.. winter is leaving us! Not before time!
Tomorrow is school shoe day.. Dot has trashed hers and everyone else has grown.. looking at about £150 there... ooh.. maybe less, I have Twinkle the next size available already so should save on hers at least. I stocked up on the same style when they were £11 from £36... I think she has orange next.
£85 saved for Dots assessment. I have some (£55ish) in my quidco I can add and £86 in my Boom25 account... so we are getting there. I could very much do with a lottery win.. if only I could afford that one winning ticket!
Anyhoo... enough waffle.. I have to find food for smalls.. might go old skool and egg, chips and beans everyone! (salmon and salad for me with half a dozen chips.) and a very early night for everyone except Dot the insomniac.
Moomin has cleaned the bathroom while we weren't here and the kitchen wasn't too hideous, apart from the pile of cat poo randomly in the middle of the floor.

Hi all
We have had all the weather today, sun, rain, snow, hail and more snow. Work was so quiet today just makes the shift longer.
I've came home and
stuck the washing machine on
Washed up and put away the dishes
Washed the draining board and sink
Cleared and cleaned the bunkers
Cleaned the hob
Made a heap of clean clothes in the LR to fold and put away.
I'm away to fold and see then see what I can feed my face with.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged9 -
Evening everyone! I am paddling furiously, but so far, the defences have held. I had an horrendous drive back from Cardiff last weekend amid "danger to life" weather warnings and had to swim my van through some pretty hairy flood water to get back home and onto our driveway. Flood barriers worked, held it all back, and although both wells are still being pumped, the house has remained dry! In amongst that, one of our nanny goats had a set of twins and my oldest girl-dog is in season and trying it on with anything living creature (my poor Billy Goat
) Hopefully she will be ready for the stud dog in the next few days, and I will be welcoming puppies in the spring.
I have a chest infection, spotty face and a house covered in mud. Honey bear - after you've done up your next door property, maybe you'd consider mine?
Second large G&T poured...10 -
Evening all,Have had a day at my Mum's looking after my niece and nephew as well as my 2 boys today. It went better than I thought as DS2 got some kinetic sand (or equivalent) from my Mum for his birthday and that and some play-dough entertained the 3 year olds and the 7 year old whilst my niece had her nap. DS2 fell asleep on my lap in the afternoon which hasn't happened in such a long time, that I made the most of it and sat there and cuddled him.I did manage to put a load of washing in the machine before I left, and it's now in the TD. Also put a dry load away this morning. Made pie for dinner tonight, and DH has cleaned the hob and the kitchen doesn't look too bad considering. As we've been out all day, the house hasn't had too much opportunity to get trashed since DS1 did such a good job at helping me yesterday. I'm hoping to change our sheets tomorrow as DH will be off work to look after the kids whilst I do it.I'm annoyed at myself as I forgot to phone the vet today to get Little Black Furry Cat booked in for a thyroid review (he's nearly 16 and on daily medication for which we need to get a prescription from the vet as it's almost half the price to order it online). It's a stressful time taking him to the vet though, as although our vet is really lovely, he gets so upset (I think he suffers from some form of PTSD if that's possible, as he lost a leg when he was 3 after being hit by a car).Everyone seems to have been so productive with their lists - well done! xEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20179

Morning.....thank you, its lovely to have been missed. Actually only got back about 2 weeks before this debacle of a forum change, and I am with everybody that says the old way was better.
Hey ho, never mind. I have been busy with DS and DD4 as its half term, so flying is taking a very back seat after starting well on Monday. Got DD4 in bed with me overnight, she was watching laptop in bed while I was nursing migraine, and Ive been woken now by DFF3 and DFF4 pushing laptop off the bed, they will still revelling in their attempted destruction when I woke up. Cats and their desire to push stuff of shelves eh? Thankfully, DD4 had slung half the pillows and cushions on the floor before sleeping so laptop had a more gentle landing.
Made the most of dump being open yesterday, lots of bits gone for recycling, very little into landfill container, thankfully. Given away lots of bits to young woman today in need, as my shop is most definitely closed and out of business after DD4 was born, and this YW isnt in position to even buy bits at CS right now. So today's flying will consist of sorting through to find some more stuff for her basic needs list, and giving a quick whizz round with Shark and duster and catch up with WM and TD. Roll on next week when I can get lists attended to properly
The cold never bothered me anyway8 -
Morning all
Early start at paid stuff needed today, it’s also last day of bathroom fitter (yay!) it’s all starting to look really good. Apparently I won’t be allowed to see the progress today as he wants to do a big reveal of the finished room at the end of the day.... all quite exciting!!Anyway I shall shower and dress then do my dailies and a load of laundry before starting work.Back later, hugs to all in need x9
