Hurrah! HB,LW and Jojo, all in one day.
I’ve managed to get 2 coats of paint done (very small area to actually do), wm x2, cleaned the ensuite, turned off the toilet fill there as a last resort as I couldn’t fix the overflow problem, dusted around the place, vacuumed the DR as it was an easy win, and driven to smallish town with DD for fabric purchase and other bits. A bargain £10 dress might have been purchased as well in a closing down sale 😉. I now have some of the never-ending paperwork to do, but cannot get motivated to do it atm.

Wow, HB, what have you taken on!
This house is looking a little bit cleaner and reasonably tidy. I cleared most of a pile of paperwork in the study this morning, but DS1 and family came to visit this evening so I spent half the afternoon cooking - the pancakes were particularly appreciated (yes, I know, a week early - but I won't see them next week).11 -
dryers... I have a vented one.. I've had 2 condenser ones.. they were absolute rubbish took FOREVER to dry a small (5-7kg) load and got blockages and leaked water everywhere no matter how often they were emptied..They only dry for about half the time they are on the other half is condensing time as they do not do both at the same time.. so it does hot for a bit the refrigerates. increasing the risk of fires according a fire man who was at my house one time, they are less energy efficient as a result. One was bosch the other Hoover so not bad makes.. I couldn't be paid to have one now. Vented all the way. I have a Hoover 8Kg vented dryer and it dries a full wash load in about 30 minutes.. just in time for the next load to finish washing!
Home tomorrow... by myself if necessary!

Hi flyfriends x
Paid stuff today then went to Mr Ts to pick up a couple of things. Didn't need to get bread though as one of my customers works in a bakery and brought me in a bloomer, fruit loaf and some potato scones. Totally appreciated he's a total star. Came home tidied the kitchen up a wee bit while I made the dinner. Washed up the dishes, stuck a load in the WM and put the rubbish out and that's been it. Will try harder tomorrow as I'm off 🎉I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged11 -
Morning all.Paid stuff for me today although a meeting in the city has been cancelled. The road in is flooded. I'll see what flying I can fit in.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.12 -
Morning all
Paid stuff for me as well today. Bedding changed just now in anticipation that someone will see fit to actually run the wm before I get home. Clean washing folded and put in airing cupboard so that there are no excuses to be had.I’m going to try to run a couple of errands on my way in to work, hoping that there is less traffic due to the school holidays.Have a lovely day all.11 -
Sexymouse, Jojo & Pigpen, thanks for your replies about TD. Vented isn't an option and I've actually been very happy with condenser one we've had for +/- 10 years. It's bearings are going so now needs to be manually coaxed into action each time I use it, which is daily. (I know, but it's my luxury and a neccesity at times).
Cats taken to vets and vaccinated so good for another year but plenty of euros decluttered!
Slowly ploughing through DD2 washing. But she wants to go shopping today so that will take up the afternoon. I'm working this evening, just 1.5 hrs then all off to meet up with DD1 for dinner (she studies and works about an hour away)
So far today
Bed made, clothes picked up
Recycling out
TD restarted again
So better get a wiggle on and sort out next load of washing and do HHI and sock sorting.
See you all later Xx

Good morning 😁
No work today, so I had a lie in. Bank accounts have been checked & caught up on a london soap. I need to get my bum in gear & do something or I am in danger of wasting the day, but I have been enjoying the peace & quiet!
I am going to go into the garden & empty some compost from Lottie the hottie. Hopefully, if i have time & the weather holds i will take that to the allotment along with another tub of compost dug out from the raised bed, and spend a bit of time down there.
Ok - I will do that now, or it won't get done! Have a good day everyone.11 -
