Golly - 9 o'clock and my dailies are done + WUDU: a vase(?) thingey that once had a flower arrangement in it, now in the cs pile; Charlie's swing, keeping that - put away in a drawer; and a budgie bird bath - put away in the cupboard. That's more kitchen worktop cleared..... I just need to give it a good wash in that corner and that's that side completely done (clappy hands).
Peeping between my fingers at the worktop on the other side now...

Good morning 😀
I have popped in to check on Dizzy - I’m so glad you are safe, and I hope the water subsides quickly.
I am not at home, but in a hotel in Notts. We have had breakfast and packed up, so will be heading home soon. Fingers crossed that M1 isn’t too busy - we are just making sure the rush hour has cleared. Our reason for the visit was for a wedding fayre with DD1. It was a successful day, and there is now a wedding booked for 2021! 🥂🍾👰❤️
We spoke to DS last night - he and DD2 had a fight! They usually get on well, so I am hoping they have made up now. Kids!!
when I get home I need to make a list and make a difference. Round you are still inspiring me - you are doing so well. I need to get rid of stuff, as it is overwhelming me. I think I may get the shredder out and get rid of some more paper....
Have a good day everyone, and stay safe/dry. I will update again when I get home and have actually done something!!12 -
Dishes washed, dogs walked and recycling sorted.Spend less now, work less later.12

washing on line; breezy and blue skies hereDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Thank you Jazee, BadCat and Goodintentions xx
Goodintentions - I am frequently overwhelmed by the stuff in this house. I am a firm advocate of 'how do you eat an elephant - one bite at a time'. One item at a time, one piece of paper at a time - teeny tiny fairy steps some days. Not perfection but progress. Now that I'm starting to see results it is motivating me to keep going. Dot to dot works for me - not that I knew that I was dotting when I did it! Hugs xx
I've changed the towels in the bathroom; washed towels, tea towels and face cloths are now trying to escape blowing on the line
Rxx.

Feeling overwhelmed is a difficult state...you are doing so well Round. And, as you're finding, the improvements you can see are great motivation to do more.
I have WUALTD and cleaned out the bunny hutch. I've also dealt with the uneaten food (carrot and kale) from the run/garden - that's been moved into the compost bin. Shed door is wedged open in an attempt to dry it out a bit - with half a fireguard across the doorway to keep the rabbits out (what is it with rabbits and sheds?) and I'm having a coffee before tackling the kitchen.
Watched The Martian last night - I had watched it with my sister in 2016 but, actually, had forgotten the bulk of it!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Me again. Downstairs floors swept and dining room list pretty much done. Two wash loads now on airer. Main council papers read through. And that's it for today. Apart from another dog walk, dog grooming, playing and doing training with the dogs, DH and I are planning a relaxing afternoon and evening and I need/want to catch up on Dr Who.Spend less now, work less later.12

Primary school books are in the recycling bin!!!!!!
One was labelled Upper Infants - that would be 1966/67. And in the one from when I was about eight I wrote that my brother's favourite hobby was bouncing on Mummy's bed, and his next favourite hobby was thumping me....sounds about right!
That's a bit more floor reclaimed

PS I do feel a bit sick - but nothing a bag of chocolate peanuts won't cure I can't handle.

sorry, late again to the party.....but I am in all be it I am squinting like Morocco Mole today. Been to have my diabetic retina screening today, pupils still as big as saucers and even with 2 pairs of sunglasses on, its still far too bright outside. All curtains drawn here in the skint pit and one pair of sunglasses, Im on a functioning level just.....
Cats trays done and LR hoovered......I have a mission this week to declutter some spare household stuff for a girl who is moving on from Women's Refuge in March and has to start everything from scratch.....having some urgency that its not just going to a charity shop and that whatever I give her, even if it doesnt match will do her a good turn until she gets on her feet properly. Also on facebook group for the school recycling scheme, and other nearby schools and playgroups often ask for stuff, so I said I would have a good sort through of all the kids craft supplies and make some bundles for donation to the playgroup.
Once I have got those big donations organized (in my head if nothing else) then I will have more space to put my own stuff back into once I start flying on the listy properly.
first things first, half hour to SOAADFA with DFF1 . 4 and half years on from bringing her home from the cat rescue she will still leap up and pin me down for a cuddle the moment I park my behind for more than 4 seconds.
The cold never bothered me anyway11
