Hmmm, the post I typed late last night hasn't appeared
Try again...
Fingers crossed for you, Dizzy xxx. I saw all your water coming downstream on my drive yesterday, and am very thankful that I live on a hill.
Congratulations on the house sale, Kazwookie, and good luck with the move.
Rosie and I came to babysit DGS3+4 yesterday evening, and stayed overnight - their sofa is very long and very comfy. I woke up at 6.40, before DGS4 announced his presence to the world - he is now playing Lego down here instead of pestering his brother and parents! Have made myself a cuppa and am enjoying peace for 5 minutes!
Before leaving home I had dusted and hovered all through, and when the boys had gone to bed I WULTD and tidied round this LR, so not been unproductive.
Visiting my little goddaughter on our way home this morning, to save petrol and time (motorway most of the way from here to there).
(((Hugs))) to ash and all others in need, and sticks and spoons as needed.

I too have lost posts Iona - think I've hit 'preview' instead of 'post comment'.
Out for lunch later.
Have good days all

Good morning
I am glad you are safe Dizzy, and still dry!
Paid stuff today. One of the brothers isn't well, so I am down to 1 this morning, and 3 this afternoon. The brothers wind each other up and wrestle, so I am looking forward to a more chilled day!
I have walked the dog, done 1 load of washing which is now in the TD. I need to do the Friday money juggle (DH gets paid on Fridays), put on the DW, wash up what's left and do some more washing. The 4 yr old is happily playing with Spiderman and DD2 (aged 24!) in a blanket den
Have a good day everyone.

Back after being AWOL again for a couple of weeks. TBH I haven't been in the right frame of mind and didn't want anyone to see the black dog that has been developing while I have been out of work. I have had to put so much effort into job-seeking to be told its all very well doing that and evidencing what you have done but you aren't actually applying for anything. Er no that would be because I'm not qualified for something or its too far to travel, everything else that hasn't been a perfect fit was applied for. To be told you need to apply for more stuff that is not suitable just to get rejected (or worse still no response at all) when you have low self-confidence is hard. Anyway stop rambling Kaz, the job offer is in the bag and I am starting on Monday which leaves me with little time to pull myself back together and do some flying. I certainly shouldn't complain when others have real struggles and inclement weather to deal with (which we seem to have missed most of).
Thank you Valli & Natty for the lists, and belated wishes for your birthday Natty (and anyone else I have missed). I will be flying off-piste as during my last session I found some old laminated lists I did ages ago and will work from those and will update later.
I have had a read of this week's thread and am sending out a group hug and positive vibes for those that need it.
Back laters ....

Rosie is glad to be home
I called in on another friend as well as seeing my goddaughter
Daffodils have mysteriously appeared on the kitchen table in my absenceand the house is still fairly tidy
DH has gone out to the gym (his last time for free) and war games shop (now there's a surprise)
Having eaten my lunch, I will unpack, then take Rosie for a proper walk, then get back to the paperwork. I have mislaid a password: I know where it ought to be, but it isn't. Having looked in all possible hiding places, I will have to start looking in the impossible ones

Evening all,
Congratulations on the job, Kazm.
It’s been a busy work day, and I’ve just flopped down on the sofa. I’m on pick up duty later - not the teenager, but DH! I think he must owe me about a year of driving at this rate. As I haven’t been sleeping too well this week, I don’t mind not having a drink tonight - but I haven’t let him into that secret!
Dinner cooked, kitchen tidied, that’s me done for the day. See you all tomorrow.9 -
Morning all
Our bathroom is finished... yay! It was really late last night after some last minute problems with the new shower. The plumber left at about 8:30, he is coming back this morning to collect all his stuff and to clean up. I need to get on and do a full inspection of the room and make a snagging list as he requested so I will do that shortly.
Other plans for today include the chap coming to repair our fence, I have to do a couple of hours of paid stuff; I fell behind this week due to so many interruptions and next week is really busy again so I need to get caught up. I have a huge list of other jobs and I’m up early so I’m going to make a start on the quiet stuff....
Back later with progress report x7
