Late reporting in again - I need to get to grips with using the new style forum on my phone, as I find that I don’t get round to typing on the tablet until the evening, if at all.
Work today for a few hours, then off for an eye test, a quick shop for milk and bread, then home.  I should have got petrol, so that job now has to be done in the morning as I need to drive out to visit a friend for lunch. Annoyed at myself as that will mean a 20+ mile round trip first thing. The plan is to combine it with a trip to the f&v market.
Dailies done, wm x 2 run, en-suite given a quick clean.  The vacuum cleaner hasn’t seen the light of day for a while so I’m ignoring all the floors until I feel inspired. Some hope.
Jobs and paperwork are piling up but I can’t seem to find the energy or oomph to do any of them.

Evening all

Just dailies and one load of washing managed today and yesterday here. With bathroom fitters, electricians, making drinks, answering questions, dealing with the noise dust and lack of power as well as trying to work it’s all been a bit challenging!

Noise levels should die down tomorrow but I think realistically I will still only manage the basics, Weekend Willi will have to make an appearance and play catch up I think.

Well the desire to fly (well fling) hit the day job - folders left behind by a retired colleague have been opened and the paper recycled and silly plastic wallets binned/saved.  Brought some home to put in my recycling bin.  I've also gone through some of my own piles.   and I have put washing in TD; dirty laundry in WM and done some general tidying...what a difference!

happy birthday Natty 🎂
Was working in the daytime today still a bit of a novelty, finished at 6 came home made dinner then flopped on the couch. I've only just begun to heat up. I've been freezing all day probably made worse by the fact I wasn't busy. I think people were staying home if it wasn't absolutely necessary to go out.
Will try to fly tomorrow before and after my appointment with UC. Need to phone about my bedroom window again because the water is pouring in and the council aren't listening to me.

I'll put tomorrow's listy up tomorrow (wednesday) morning. I've been out all day and am too tired to muck around with HTML at this time of night  So I'll sort the listy first thing. Hopefully they would have sorted out the character lengths by then.

Phew listy done, although I'm not sure how long it'll last in color - yesterdays changed back to black for some reason. Fingers crossed they get the color palette back...

Thank you so much for your lovely birthday wishes. I had a lovely day yesterday, I went out with a couple of good friends for a lunch and shopping at Dobbies Garden Centre. And then had a takeaway for tea in the evening. I also had the first daffodil flower in the front garden so I felt that my mum was wishing me happy birthday (when I was born 52 years ago my mums room was filled with daffodils, so ever since she died 14 years ago I have always hoped that at least one daffodil flowers, although it doesn't normally happen due to the weather..lol)

Morning all
I’m glad you had a lovely day Natty.
DD decided to get the bus in this morning, so I made the executive decision that I wasn’t going to scrape the ice off the car and drive 20 miles for petrol and for some f&v that we could probably manage without until next week’s market. So I have put my ‘arris reluctantly into gear and:
 - stripped our bed, remade it and put the bedding through the wm.  Now hung up indoors as it might freeze to a crisp outside;
 - run the vacuum cleaner around the whole house, admittedly round the furniture rather than moving it;
 - thrown out the sorry looking tulips;
 - wiped up the muddy footprints which were as a result of me sorting out bins and recycling in the dark yesterday.
The low sun has been shining in the back of the house - outside windows are filthy after the rains.  It also showed up all the dust and grot inside....
I'm off shortly to meet up with my best friend, filling the car up somewhere on the way.  It’s a bit of a trek of a journey, but hey ho. 

ETA - spellchecker on the newish tablet is driving me spare, Apologies if I’ve missed any substitutions - going to figure out the settings now!

Well I have almost 2 hours before I need to head off out to work so
