Still very windy here and we've had some torrential rain but the sun has popped out now. Washing hung indoors though!

Pootled my way through a stack of stuff in the living room and recycled old Christmas / birthday cards, + recycled / binned components of a 2016 calendar and an unused 2015 diary. Shredded receipts from 2017 and 2018. Found a stash of unused cards - get well, thank you, congratulations etc in a keepsake box, which will now be kept somewhere get-atable
I'll put the stash of birthday cards in there too
That wind is bitterly cold. Brought in my washing as I don't think it will dry any more than it already has.

2024 let's do this !!10 -
Afternoon all,Minimal flying done today in terms of the list as I've been trying to get this blooming cake done. It has been carved, filled and crumb coated now, so will hopefully get some more done tomorrow at some point?!
As long as it's ready for after dinner I suppose all is well. DS1 has hunted out some of the small cars from the vehicles box to go on top of it (it's a cake shaped like a number 3 with a road etc on top, hence the cars as I'm not making those too lol). I've booked and paid for DS2's birthday outing to Little Street for Sunday, so that's something to look forward to.
I've also picked up a million toys, reassembled the sofa I don't know how many times, blow-dried the sofa (DS2 is obsessed with pouring water all over it constantly) twice, and mopped the bathroom floor after I accidentally knocked over the cat's water jug (it was full).I have cleaned all the kitchen surfaces and the hob so that I could bake today, but still need to wash up some of the bits on the side. DS1 has Beavers tonight so it's always a bit manic on a Monday. Luckily we have pasta on a Monday which shouldn't be too tricky and there's leftover bolognese sauce from last night to have with it.Spoke to the neighbour's son today about the fence panel that has come down in the storm, and sod's law, it does belong to us.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20179 -
Good evening 😁
Flying has been minimal again today. 2 wash loads done, folded & put away some laundry and that’s about it! I did manage to some more accounts & spent about an hour in the garden topping up Lottie the hottie and digging out the raised beds. I am hoping DH will be able to do some later in the week when he is off work.
I need to get ready for the couch to 5k tonight (week 6). It is still blowing a gale, and the seafront flooded earlier at high tide (our usual route), so should be fun. And I now hear thunder!! 😱😭 It’s low tide now, so hopefully it should be ok 👍

Thank you Valli and Natty for the lists and for keeping us (or maybe it’s just me?) in order. I’m in as much as I can be.
No flying today beyond the dailies. Drove home in high winds and sleet, so that can stop as soon as it likes. I’m dreading waking up tomorrow to snow, especially as I’m working extra instead of my day off, so that I can take some time out on Wednesday.
I need to identify something from the freezer for tomorrow night’s dinner as plans have changed and I think that we are all now going to be in at the same time.8
