I have tidied some of our end of Mar budget to make an extra debt payment so our debt is under £21K 🥳🥳
As I said on the Tilly Tidies thread no point keeping a fully funded month when I'm paid Thurs so did a mega tidy and we still have around £40 until payday.
I may or may not build back up the buffer but seems saft when we have debt to pay off and savings we could use if really needed to.
The more debt we can reduce the more leeway we have if bills continue to go sky high as seems the way lately.
I am well aware sub £21K is still a mammosive debt but it's the least it's been in a long while for us and we are happy.

Fantastic progress. Once you get to the next milestone it always seems to go quicker.

Well the tumbleweed has been tumbling round these parts hasn't it. Not even a glimmer of a stand off with a sharp shooter *que western music*

I have been busy, catching up on the excellent @Sea_Shell's retirement diary and hatching plans to get our electricity bills down.

So far we have come up with the following:
    1. Get a cat/dog gap fitted in the door between kitchen and conservatory. We have to leave the door open so pusscat and dog can come and go so this way we can close of the heat sucking conservatory in the cooler weather.
    2. Replace bath taps with a shower mixer tap like we had in the old house and see if not using electric shower helps before replacing the electric one entirely.
    3. Use trusty carpet sweeper more and Dyson rechargeable less.

We already have a heated airer no tumble dryer and replace appliances with energy efficient ones when then die. Have a smart thermostat. Use blanket when watching tv and don't hear the house to t-shirt temperature but anymore suggestions welcome.

As it's end of month I shall be back with a financial update sometime soon when I've closed off the month 😃

Keep those pennies in your pocket peeps (yes @WinterWarrior I'm looking at you)

😧 why do I get the mention….anyone would think I was bad with money!! 😬
my heated airer has disappeared! I wanted to use it and can’t find it…I suspect we skipped it years ago and forgot 😖 I liked it, but MrWW didn’t, as it took up room and generated a bit of damp in our already damp house. Those little dehumidifier boxes get full in no time around here.

Your not bag with money WW just good with spending...like me 🥰
We have them dehumidifier thingymebobs in the bedroom.
It's a shame you can't find your heated airer. They aren't cheap. Ours is the Lakeland deluxe. Think Wilko's do a smaller lie flat version and Aldi did at one time from memory.
