When I was about 4  or 5 and my brother was 6 my Mum used to go and do my Grandad's shopping every week. She'd leave us at the back of the tills whilst she did the shop. I was a wanderer so I learnt that if I said I was lost and got taken to the customer service I'd be given a lollipop. I pulled this trick one too many times and they asked my Mum not to bring me back!

I thought it was very clever!

  • Today has been a bit spendy nothing bad just a few bits brought .
From my pocket money I have ordered an over the door holder thingy for the foil and baking paper as it drives me mad loose in the cupboard. I also ordered myself the sticker by number book grand masters. I waited a bit since seeing it so allowed myself a splurge.
To be fair I also brough myself a how to clean your house book yesterday but found it second hand so saved a bit.
Out the household budget today I have brought some cat food yum Tums's chilli Doritos and some double deckers. I was starving on way home 😳
I have just ordered the meal in a mug book recommended by @CRANKY40. It was only £2.05 on the auction site not to be named (ok eeeee bay). Amazon want over 8 quid the cheek!
Ok so it's been a spendy couple of days but nothing over budget so not a total disaster.

  • I look forward to hearing about the mug food you make. Aren’t double deckers essentials anyway?

  • Yes all chocolate is essential.
The mug food book is a ploy to get Mr M_F cooking more. He seems quite keen as has a fondness for pot noodles when he has a day off and if I'm not around to offer something more edible. He's always starving so might actually decide to make something if it doesn't take up too much effort. He is quite a good cook when he can be bothered but would rather leave it to me or does the bung in oven stuff if I'm on strike. He even moans about doing Sunday dinner which considering I do the meat and have frozen HM stuffing balls and all he has to do is veg and potatoes and bung in a Yorkie pud at the end you would think he is chained to the oven. Mind you being a man he can drag any job out so it takes two hours and feel hard done by 😂

  • Just in case I am banned for your diary ;-) I would like to say that I don't mind dogs or other peoples children, and I wouldn't hurt one and I would go out of my way to harm anyone who did hurt one but if I had one snuggle left in my life, or even ten, it would be with a cat.

If I had one chocolate left it would be HC caramel buttons.
  • actually, someone honked a hairball in my slippers overnight so I may prefer (briefly) prefer humans
