Well done on the deep clean. I spent the whole of yesterday camped on the sofa watching tv. Catching up on stuff and then Paint Your Wagon.  Today will have to he a big day!

We have a lot of squirrels here. I like watching them scampering around my fence and leaping round the trees. We don't have much in the way of birds though. Mainly crows.

I also had to give my friend a stern talking to about shopping in Waitrose I'm afraid. Champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget. I've tried directing her to these boards but support how I can.

  • Does your Aldee do click & collect?  A few do round here and it looks like a good way to stay away from the middle aisle.

Waitrose isn't too bad if you use the essential range and stay away from ready meals like we do. Anything mega expensive in there gets brought from another place. Wilko's mainly for toiletries and cleaning products. Odds and sods from Tesco etc.
They also don't have that much tempting that isn't food so you tend to stick to lists. Plus of the home delivery places we have tried they have been most consistent with good dates and freshness.
Think one of the local aldis do have click and collect will have to look.

  • Good afternoon all. Today has been productive so far. General tidy up being done house and budget. Ironings sorted too.
Ive decided to use the spare sinkig funds money to move our accounting date from payday to the start of the month. Not quite been fully buffered as a month in front but it should stop the worry before payday if there's a week's buffer in the account. It won't be easy stretching till 1st Feb but with the spare money it should be doable. My emergency fund goal is to fund £250 a quarter and we have £225 in premium bonds already. Tilly tidies should take care of the other £25 for this quarter. Then I'm hoping to fund quarter two early using bonus.
