  • Morning diary and readers. Today has been quite productive so far.
I have made the nearly veggie Shepard's pie filling and it's bubbling away in the instant pot. I've also finished off the pantry basket tags I started yesterday. Black sticker labels stuck on card. Mr M_F cut them out with a craft knife and I chalk penned them yesterday before attaching with string today. All the jars have the stickers on them but they kept peeling off the baskets. It's just a tall larder unit thing but I can dream off a proper pantry one day 😌
I made a lentil chilli yesterday along with the kebab for last night's dinner which was fabulous. It's the lamb donor one from the takeaway secret cookbook. Very simple but oh so tasty.
The freezer will be well stocked with homemade ready meals which should prevent Friday nights fiasco of semi emergency chippy. Note to self: if doing a use up food stores ensure enough food in to actually consume and that doesn't need hours of cooking if the food deliveries late!
I have got the butter and eggs out the fridge to warm to room temperature incase I decide to bake later but now I'm chilling again about to watch episode 2 of season 3 discovery of witches 😁

I binged the whole of Season 2 yesterday. It's been sat in my recorded shows for a year so finally got round to it. 🤣😷

  • I read the books when season 1 aired, but I can’t remember everything so it’s still surprising 😁

  • Ooh it's wonderful and gritty. Got side tracked before starting so nearly finished watching E2. I am torn what to do about the books as reading books after the TV has the same effect on me as watching the TV show after reading the books and I get all annoyed because it's not happening the right way lol.
What to do, what to do 🥴
Aren't the locations used for filming simply stunning.

I enjoyed the books. It’s been a while, but nothing seems glaringly different!

  • I have binge watched all 7 episodes of S3 discovery of witches in one day 😁 it's been like a favourite book you can't put down and heave to see it through no matter the lack of anything else.
I did manage to make 3 almost veggie (we use worcestershire sauce) Sheppard's pies. One we ate for dinner and two for the freezer and a rather nice lightly fruited cake (whitworths recipe) but that's about all with half hour ironing done whilst watching lol. I am going to jump in the bath and check all's ready for work tomorrow. I feel completely lazy but sometimes a pyjama day is what you need

Todays early start was not what the doctor ordered but lovely Mr M_F had prepared most my pack up for work (I'd made the bagel last night) so didn't leave too late.
I have spent some pocket money on a book from Amazon -The bullet Journal Method.  I have used a notebook and diary for years which contains most the things in a bullet journal but want to learn more about the method so I can employ it at work as well as home (yes organisation freak I know).  It was £5.94 so not a huge amount. I am resisting the urge to purchase some rather lovely looking watercolour pens though that I saw on a youtube video.  I have lots of colouring pens, gel pens and bits and pieces and need to stop buying every lovely bit of stationery I see.  I am also resisting urges to buy stencils and more stickers **sigh**
Oh nearly forgot todays good news -my complaint to WR about the late delivery and no apology or notification has resulted in a voucher for a tenner.
