Ooh you just reminded me to get salmon out of the freezer for tomorrow's dinner 👍 well done on braving the weather for seed sowing.
I've just been out and emptied the dog. It's freezing! Had to laugh at yours getting excited and piddling in new bed. Our dog bed is currently upside down being used as a step as his poor arthritic hip wont let him jump anymore.

Quite a productive morning so far
- Shed has had a small tidy but needs a total tidy up after Mr M_F has run amok during the winter just dumping tools and various odds and ends anywhere he sees a space! These "spaces" include my potting table and shelves so he's in for it big time
- 5 packets of free seeds have been sown: Ox-eye Daisy, Poppy Mongolia, Delphinium Magic Fountains Mixed, Nemesia Aegean Sea and Rudbeckia Daisies Mixed. As these free seeds are small quantities they are ideal for sowing into small plant pots ready to be pricked out into plug trays when the seedlings appear. All packets have been photographed with my phone so I have the details to hand and empty packets can be recycled.
- All dry washing on the heated airer has been put into the laundry basket to fold and or iron later and another load is in the washing machine.
- Liking these new bullet points
Time to get showered and dressed (yes I'm the type of woman who gardens in pyjamas and frequently gets told off by Mr M_F) ttfn x

Good Evening fellow debt busters/avoiders,
Its the beginning of the month so alot of goings on in the bank account with debt payments. I set all of them to a higher amount than the minimum and have a challenge to try and pay extra on the one that zero percent ends 31st July. I will update the total paid off at the end of the month when interest has been deducted (was only about £8.00 last month) and any extra payments have been made.
In money saving news I have not saved money by having to buy expensive coffee as Mr Aldee was out of the strength 5 at the weekend. But.... I avoided further spends by not stopping for a loaf of wholemeal toasting bread as planned on the way home. I have some bagels in which I have at weekends so will make do with them.
Last nights meal plan was tweaked slightly as instead of new potatoes we used up some noodles in the cupboard with our salmon and stir fried the veg (chopped onion, frozen peppers, frozen mushrooms and broccoli) along with some garlic and ginger. We added a splash of red wine vinegar and some soy sauce and some sweet chilli sauce along with a bit of water to steam the veg at the end. Ended up being a yummy meal and def on the repeat list. I also used some of the noodles and my plain salmon (Mr M_F choose garlic and chilli marinated) along with some frozen mixed veg to make a meal for baby grandchild - two baby portions in freezer as well as pork, potato and veg done sunday and 4 desert size portions of apple puree. Im using some of our dinners to help the parents try a variety of foods with the baby as we have some things (like salmon) they don't eat. (helps the waistline as well as I shared my salmon lol)
I have also done an energy switch as even taking into account the exit fees with our current supplier it looks like we could be £100 plus off better a year. I do my own calculations to double check the mse energy club and looks a good un. We may save even more as we are moving onto a E7 rate which, as its in effect 1am to 8am suits us down to the ground. We are early risers and can set timers for washing machine etc to come on over night if need be or put a load on first thing. We have a month to try our new routine of using timers and planning usage but even if we forget, the calculation should still save the £100 plus on our normal usage times. (it's actually a saving of over £150.00 but less £60 exit fees from current supplier and taking into account cashback comes to about £100 this year).
Think that's it for money saving the past couple of days.

Todays debt busting has included:
- Took packed lunch as usual -tend to forget this is debt busting as we do this as per usual.
- Stuck to the meal plan again! I think that's about 10 days or more in a row now!!! go us go us go us **does a little dance**
- Put washing machine and dishwasher on during the new E7 hours which don't kick in for a month but getting used to the routine. (ok Mr M_F put them on but I instructed encouraged him while I was going into the shower late as usual.
- Hung said washing on the airer without using the heat. It may dry on its own as only one load and next to a radiator. If seems wet tomorrow will heat the airer first thing for a couple of hours.
- Entered this weeks shopping order into another couple of supermarket sites to check Mr T's were still the best price overall for us. Checked a few things against my Mr Al Dee prices spreadsheet but the tiny savings wasn't worth the risk of going in and getting enticed by the middle isle! Plus my spreadsheet is probably out of date now as I stopped updating the prices a while ago. Mr M_F will pop in on his way past and get a couple of bottles of cider. He doesn't get anything not on a list made by me (more lazy than resisting temptation).
Todays not debt busting has include:- Small purchase of emergency choc - sent Mr M_F to the shop on the way home. Getting better at not doing this but need to keep at it.
- Spending some of my personal spends on an interior design book from amazon - no I don't have the money to redecorate but a girl can dream! To be honest I read more Non-Fiction than fiction and the book only cost about the same as 2 or 3 of those glossy magazines which have about 1 percent content and 99 percent advertising

Some of you astute people may notice my signature has changed
Yes I got a PPI payment!!! I put in a last minute claim via resolver about 6 months ago and its been paid into my account. Its bigger than I thought and will enable us to clear the 0% ending 31st July this month. The DD is due out any day now so I will pay the rest once thats been taken. So happy. The rest has been used to get all our YNAB categories filled for the month so we will be in effect fully buffered. We have put the rest onto another 0% deal thats ending soon -details to follow.Dedicated Debt Free Wanabee 🤓
