Yes there is an edit function -on mobile I see a 'cog' in top right of my post, click and get an edit drop down.xylophone said:Is there an edit function?
I hate the colour and the format - why could well enough and functioning perfectly not be left alone?
If you change forum software you are going to get a different look and feel so assuming they want new software for whatever reasons, they can't just 'leave alone' the exact colour and format.
FWIW I am getting problems when writing replies on my mobile browser- I can type as normal but if I need to go back up and make an edit to earlier paragraphs it seems to get very 'confused' about whether it should be overtyping words or inserting text. I've had that with other software before but can't recall if it was here or elsewhere.
My previous preferred theme was the old green one for layout / functionality but I'm not going to get up in arms about a colour change to something 'colder'. The service is, after all, free.1 -
Thanks very much!fun4everyone said:

Is it because they know it is likely to be negative?
And is there an edit function, does anybody know?1 -

A 'deal breaker' in what way? As pointed out in an earlier post, it's a free service and posters can bump their gums and get upset about changes but can hardly expect it to be run on democratic lines where members nominate how it's run, so you can stamp your feet (and/or vote with them) if you like but it seems odd to perceive there being some sort of 'deal' in place!NoMore said:I give zero F?@X's about the look but losing funtionality is a deal breaker, where are the options on each thread to 1) latest unread
2) latest post
3) First post
In terms of functionality, as far as I can see, clicking on a thread title from the main board index will append '#latest' to the URL and this seems to direct to the latest unread post. Within the thread once open, you can go to first or last pages but can't see anything more granular than that....2 -
fun4everyone said:The Green version of the forum was just so awesome

Not going to stop posting but meh, designed by someone with a boner for mobile phones and google rankings.Agree with both of those comments

It hurts my eyes and it loads slower than the green version but.... its workable.

Not 100% sure what you mean but I notice they are using nested quotes, which are utterly diabolical.Kendall80 said:Sorry for the double post but anyone else seeing the quote and thanks all over their reply?0 -
Like any forum change I suspect this will take a little getting used to, but give it a week and I'm sure it'll feel like home.
