But having everything auto nest and only having the option to manually delete what you don't want is a bit of a pain if people have long threads and you only want to snapshot a bit of their post for context. And multiquote (or at least being able to manually pull in quotes from different posts above yours) was a key useful feature.
I say this as someone who did previously make a lot of long posts covering multiple aspects rather than firing off large numbers of small posts one at a time.0 -
The new layout seems very busy. I'm dyslexic and the new format will take some getting used to.0

I've tried not to comment on the UI (too much) as it is a very subjective element and things change/move on.
I am very disappointed in the UX in numerous ways (fed back on the snagging thread). One of the things that surprises me is that I believed the new UI/style was driven by HTML5 and mobile device standards; hence the primary white background, the relatively narrow display panel, etc, etc. But, they have then implemented some functionality using desktop tool tips (mouse over) which is really quite non-scencical.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True

I view on a chrome mobile browser. The new forum pages take forever to load & I quite often get a time out message I have to dismiss - on nearly every page.
There's also no time or date on any posts, so they could be years old for all I know. Gonna a take a lot of getting used to, or if the lagging issue continues I'll use the forum much less.0 -
I hope the pop up box to see the first post when hovering the mouse over the thread comes back since this is very useful to decide whether to read or not.2

Why has my user name been changed, please? I've had it since 2006, so no-one else should have it. I don't like this one that's beem foisted upon me.42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot:hello: Good Luck everyone !:hello:0

Go to Profile, top right, View profile and click on threads or replies, the list has links to your posts.0

There are so many things wrong with the new format for me to list, my biggest gripe is that for much of the day I have visual problems and find it almost impossible to read, too much wasted space, double spacing, I have already given up posting on DT which I have enjoyed for years, i'm trying to keep going on the forums where I try and help people (benefits/loans) but cant stand more than five minutes at anyone time.
Also I cant post using my macbooks safari browser.
The whole site now looks cheap and nasty, more poundland than john lewis.
I have other forums I use and I suspect that many like me will slowly disappear from MSE who's owners now seem more interested in profits not members.
We are told that they hope this new format will last for 15 years, for me it wont be 15 days.3
