I'm actually impressed. I wanted to hate it but I don't.
It will take me some time to get used to it all and I dont like everything but overall it's not so bad.
Would give a thumbs up but I can't find the smileys yet.63 mortgage payments to go.

The smileys are at the top of the reply box but there's a lot less of them than before.
I can only find:

Think you need to do a bit more work for it to be useful to those who access the site via a mobile. I have a large phone as I mainly work off that. Dread to think what those with smaller phones will see.
Upon opening posts up to read them, most of the view is of the stuff at the top. All I actually get to see, without scrolling is:
"Welcome to the new MSE Forum! After months of planning and hard graft for our"
I assume, somewhere in the settings I will be able to find a way of reducing the font size, to enable me to cram more of the actual threads to pick from for reading, as the list of threads has a font size a lot bigger than I'm seeing as I write this.
The only positive I can currently comment on is seeing what subject matter a thread relates to. Means I can actually bypass threads saying "help", "advice wanted", "don't know what to do" etc as it shows its parking, or competitions.
I'm used to working / participating on forums, must admit, this doesn't even come close to being a viable one to stick around on when I've reached my next goal.

There's no "back to top" button when you reach the bottom of a thread (that I can see). Do you have to scroll? How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)2
