Morning all

Chilly this morning
Today's plans:
Already had 'free' fruit from freezer with breakfast instead of bought fresh fruit, and did a YouGov survey
Other plans:
Housework
Get chunks of mint root ready for freecyclers to collect
Meals from home
Check banks
Do a bit in the garden if it warms up
There will be more, back later to update

Morning frugal wannabes :hello:
Full day appointment today, so time is very limited but there is always a few things to get in and these are:
Bought hot drink with me
They will provide lunch
Worked out mystery payment, it was a small payout from a health cash policy I have. This has more than paid for itself in the year I’ve had it. I’ve paid it to the just for points CC as that’s what I’d paid for the item on. I would suggest anyone who pays for teeth, glasses, contact lenses or similar to look this up to see if it’ll save you any money.
Meals from stores
Continue researching something online - can do this whilst at appointment and use their free WiFi
More washing, put on airer
Put dates from school newsletter in electronic calendar and share with DH
Check banking
Have a good day all. Purps.7 -
Lovely sunny day, it has lifted my mood and I want to do so much.
So far I have:
RM survey
Washed hair with the shampoo bar and let it dry naturally
Home educated children for free
The car passed its MOT without needing anything
Noticed my shoes are developing a hole, 2 minutes later checked the bottom of the wardrobe, brand new pair still in their box waiting for today, I am so grateful to my past self for saving me time trudging from shop to shop, money - I bought these in an end of season sale and saved a fortune, stress as shopping is not something I enjoy and shoe shopping is the pits, I thought the pair that are developing the hole were the pair that had been at the bottom of the wardrobe
Received a voucher free 'hot drink and cake’
The shower was draining slowly this morning, after my shower instead of ignoring it and let it grow into a frog, I grabbed a coat hanger and used the hook to lift off the grid drain, I cleared a huge mass of hair, replaced the grid - it took less than a minute
I've set an alert so I check it periodically
This afternoon needs to be equally as productive.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Hello all, Hope everyone is well, I didn't get round to posting yesterday as by the time I had time, the forum had closed.
So far today I've
Been to the gym and done a class and a run on the treadmill ✅
I've been to aldee (forgot list but dh is wfh today so he text me a photo of the list
) and I stuck to it! ✅
Had cheap but healthy porridge for breakfast ✅
To do
Put all the shopping away ✅(and update freezer inventory✅)
continue logging my food, this is mse as it means I'm eating less! ✅
:'( Iron just what needs doing, hang away the rest
Check banking and update spreadsheet ✅
Make a chilli as I was missing a very important ingredient when I started to cook yesterday! ✅
That's enough of a start for me as I've finished my cuppa now.
Take care all
Also been for a walk around the block for a bit of free exercise, I left my purse at home on purpose so there was no chance of popping into the little shop. ✅
Also cooking two chickens at the same time, will make stock from the carcass for soup and I'll pop some chicken round to my dads tomorrow so that they can have some. ✅
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Like PurpleFairy I'm working out how the new layout works. I think you are correct 1LL about bookmarks, does anyone know how to change the frequency of the emails? I used to have them on daily digest but currently, I'm getting a new email as soon as anybody posts.
I like your new name haggischops

Not loving the new layout
Seems to be missing quite a lot of the features that the old version had. Anyway, such is life and no doubt we will get used to it. Had a bit of a drama this afternoon and had to go to the school to pick up GD as her Dad hadn't done so. Always a worry when SiL doesn't do what is expected as he is T1 diabetic and not always stable, so we were worried about him as well. Ended up passing him along the lane as we were taking GD home. He was on his way to fetch her, as he thought she was at after school club. School told me that she wasn't booked into after school club. Seems like a lack of communication within the school. They also said that they didn't have a mobile number for DD, but had rung her on it earlier today
Apart from that:Listed a couple of items on ebay, and one has sold alreadyCleared out a wall basket thing in the front garden that was full of dead strawberry plants and vine weevil larvae
Ordered vine weevil nematodes, a bit early, but hoping the soil isn't too cold. I should have done it back in September! All food from home, though I did buy a sympathy card, onions, ras al hanout spice, oranges and bagels in town this morning. All items on my list, and I didn't buy anything else. Don't need a big shop. Walked to town for free exercise.RM surveys stuffChecked banksThis post looks enormous, as it all seems to be double spaced.....6
