    Evening all :)
Literally nothing to report today, as I got a call as soon as I got out of the shower this morning from DD, asking me to look after GS, as GD had fallen and had a suspected broken arm :( So I have been at DD's all day.

They eventually got back from the hospital at about 5pm, GD has indeed broken her arm just above the elbow. It is plastered for now, but she may need an operation on it :( They will know in about a week's time when she has goes back to the fracture climic. Poor little thing - she was supposed to be in a dance tournament thing tomorrow evening, but obviously won't be able to with a newly broken arm. All she did was fall over a cardboard box :(
Hoping to get something done tomorrow, but just want an early night now. GS only slept for about 15 minutes  He also ate 3 bananas, I kept finding him with a different one, so I ended up hiding the rest. I was a bit worried how it would affect him, but apparently he often does this :rotfl: Little monkey!
Anyway, I haven't spent anything at least!

Sorry to hear about your GD Dawn, sounds like a similar break to what my ds2 had the night before we went on holiday last Summer. We too were told it might need an op but thankfully it didn't come to that. Really hope she's feeling better soon.

    Afternoon all,
Just the usual "small things" here today
    * all meals from stores ✅ porridge for breakfast, leek and potato soup for lunch and chicken/bacon concoction with mash that we didn't eat last night as the soup was soooo nice we had more soup
    * check banking/update spreadsheet ✅
    * gym to make the most of my membership ✅ 30 mins weights then a 45min bootcamp
    * log food/drink - Week 1 went well so trying hard to make it 2 good weeks!
    * all sockets that can be off are.. ✅
    * wearing an extra layer as I'll not put heating on til the rest of the family is home ✅
    * iron just what is needed and turn off before the last item
    * go for a walk for a bit more free exercise ✅ although wasn't free as I decided to walk to aldi (a mile each way) took a rucksack and just bought the milk, bread, carrots, celery and peppers that I want for tomorrows lunches. I'll do this more in future, I'm not really bothered about "nsd's" so may as well combine walks with the shop and save fuel :)

    That's about it!
    Take care all.

  • Hi folks!

I was going to post earlier and got distracted again. It's appraisal week at work this week and I've just done my 3rd out of 4. This was my more difficult one though so I'm glad that it's done with.

Still feeling very please with my finished and framed cross stitch. MIL loves it and I'll get OH to take it to her tomorrow.

    Small things for today:
    :heartpuls B/L/D from stores
    :heartpuls Check PMP
    :heartpuls Charge phone in work
    :heartpuls Early night. I'm shattered!

    Have a good one all

    Afternoon all :)
Thanks for the good wishes re GD. I am keeping my fingers crossed that she won't need surgery. She is only 6 :(
Anyway, she is fine in herself, it is her right arm, but luckily she is left handed so she can still write, draw, do crafts etc, which is what she likes to do. She will probably go back to school tomorrow, and wait for her appointment to come through.
Managed to get to my sales unit this morning, tidied up, restocked, and picked up my sales list and money for January. Paperwork duly completed.
Also popped back to the bed shop with a query about the new mattress. I could have phoned, but it isn't very far and I wanted to go to B&M which is next door. Bought some compost for the garden and a couple of other bits.
Other than that, I had cooked fruit from the freezer with breakfast, lunch was fridge bits, and dinner will be a jacket potato, the last of the turkey and ham pie I made at the weekend and some HM coleslaw :)
I replaced the batteries in my kitchen scale with ones I had used for fairy lights at Christmas which still had life left in them :)
I need to put away the stock I bought back from the shop this morning, Almost done
And have a bit of a tidy up in the garage Done
And put away piles of blankets, duvets and pillows that are cluttering the place up. Not sure how that happened! Getting there, I think it was kids making dens :rotfl:

Listed an item on ebay - must get back to this!

And go through my clothes, there are some that I wouldn't mind parting with. Not yet
Did a bit in the garden as it was dry for a change! Tipped the mint pot out, cut the tangle of roots into 4, and planted quarter into a new (boot sale) big pot. The original pot is an old clay one that was on its last legs, and it fell to pieces. There are several others like this, but no complaints, they were bought cheap in Morrisons about 12 years ago, and have been used constantly since. They will all be going this year, as they really don't look nice with big bits flaking off them. Put the 3 remaining mint plants onto freecycle, one has already gone. Also freecycled 2 excess rosemary plants (grown from cuttings last year). Both of this have now gone to new homes. I will do lavender cuttings this year, as a lot of my lavender is very old, woody and leggy.

1LL, I am not bothered about NSDs either (though some months I count them for fun), and often walk into town for a few bits and pieces. I hate doing big shops. Also, we tend to go to markets once or twice a week, and shop there. I certainly wouldn't miss a good bargain for the sake of it either!

Dawn, Funnily enough I rang my dad this morning and asked him if he fancied a walk into town together on Thursday to have a look at the meat/fruit and veg in the market. He was saying the other day he was bored with what they're eating - my mum likes meat and two veg and not a lot else so hopefully this will inspire us a bit!
I was wanting to try the market as I really dislike the amount of plastic packaging going in the bin after every Aldee shop from the fruit and veg.

Yes 1LL, the market traders put the produce straight into my own bags if I ask them :)
