Morning all :hello:
My list for today:
Check banking, have a credit for a payment pending tomorrow which (whilst I’m not complaining about) I’ll call the company and check what it’s for.
Shopping day - will go with list and visit more than 1 shop to get the best price in each
Washing on airer
Put away yesterday’s washing. No ironing here :j
Do some research on something after an appointment I went to yesterday
Sign up to a service at the library where I think I can get audible books for free
Think that’s about it for now. Have a good day. Purps.4 -

Evening all

I don't seem to have achieved very much today
*Cooked fruit from freezer instead of bought fresh fruit, usually home grown, but this batch is stewed apples made from rubbery fruit bowl apples.
*Walked into town, free exercise, posted RM surveys item, bought fruit and salad stuff, plus an interesting looking cookery book from a CS. On tagines; I only usually make Hugh F-W's lamb one, so looking forward to trying some different ones.
*Went to see little GD while OH did a few DIY things for DD. She isn't in much pain at all (Calpol may be helping). She is a bit bored and wants to go to school. DD agreed with her teacher that she can do mornings to start with, so she is going tomorrow. Took her some rubbish 'jewellery' that was in an old box that I (or rather my business) bought last weekend. I can sell the box, but nobody would buy the jewellery - though it is like treasure to a 6 year old girl :rotfl: Sometimes I am lucky and there is a bit of silver amongst it, but not this time.
*All meals from home, toast, pate, HM pickles and salad bits for lunch, pesto pasta for dinner. Pesto was from the freezer, home made last summer, I used rocket in this one instead of basil, worked fine. I used home grown rocket, but it would be an ideal use for bought stuff that had seen better days
*Walked dog, more free exercise
*Checked banks, waiting for a small refund, but it hasn't arrived yet.
*Updated spreadsheet
*Heating off for most of the day
****Must do some housework tomorrow!6 -
Made a sort of Spanish omelet mess for dinner from Monday oven chips (kale, sweet potato and potatoes and onion), a near dead mushroom, a bit of chorizo, and a bit of goat cheese. Yum.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

DawnW I hope GD will continue to do ok and not need an op
CLF I hope the appraisals went ok.
Not much to report at the minute.
Banking checked every morning
Quidco checked
Usual meeting last night and ploughing thru the usual paperwork
Have really had the tidying up bug upstairs(must have a temp!) Another 2 storage boxes bought.the satisfaction of having everything sorted and tucked away is great. Need one more bigger box, saw ones reduced in Tesco today. Will go back on Friday and buy when I pick up cat litter.
Must wrap some birthday presents, will use the plain paper out of the Christmas sets instead of buying extra
Also managed to pick up some nice birthday cards reduced this morning.
Picked up some bargains last night-big naan breads for 5p and bagels for 10p. Safely tucked in the freezer ready for when DD comes home next week as already forming a meal plan and these fit in well
Had the heating off and kitchen window open off for a few hours today. Really lovely.
Heating turned down later, using a hottie
Can't think.of anything else but there is bound to be something I've missed!Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Morning all,
Just had a catch-up. Hope your GD's arm continues to improve.
LPP - They are always better when they've had their trouble-nuggets off!
Meant to post on Mon morning re the planned shape of my week, but was really tied up with a research project I promised someone (& myself) that I'd finish by mid-week & it consumed most of my time. As an information professional, I have high standards re accuracy, citations, etc, & all the proof-reading took ages.
Anyway.... all done now & I'm back on track with the rest of my week:
*Frugal behaviour re meal planning, using up & sensible shopping list.
*Good money management by keeping to Feb budget & updating regularly to keep pots/accounts straight
*Free fitness - trying to get my daily steps up & using activities as fitness opportunities for e. g yesterday's courtyard sweeping endeavours done v briskly so as to get puffed out!
*Start seed sowing, sort out my half of shed, sort out worm composer.
*Start small portable knitting project I can do when watching TV as my jumper is complicated & needs full concentration.
*Round up a bag of library returns.
*Try & get back into surveys. Will update my sig for that as it might motivate me.
But generally my head is in a sensible place re money atm, I'm pleased to say.
Take care all & stay warm,
F x2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!7
