Yep. he's definitely got that boyish twinkle thing happening too! (and Blue Peter isn't quite so squeaky clean these days - huh?!
)
Where's the icon for "Yummy" though!?

(closest I could find!)
You just put me in the mood for chocolate with this...altho did make me laugh as well so I guess it evens out. And it's way way too cold to go out and get any.
**edit** I don't think that it's eating chocolate in fact, just shows where my mind is tonight!!**
You are an old lady compared to me btwI'm a whole year younger!!

November was the first month that I actually came in under budget - it can be done!!
My month will start on Dec 3rd and finish on the 23rd - I have budgeted separately for Xmas week and have a houseful of visitors.
For the 3 weeks prior to Christmas I'm aiming for £75 for all food, toiletries, household stuff and dog food.
I will have my sister staying with me for a week too so it may be tough!
Fingers crossed - good luck to everyone else!
Well, I've not been able to update the thread for a little while but I have been keeping receipts and watching what I spend - I'm up to £46 (give or take a few pennies) for the first two weeks of December - just £4 under budget. The good news is that I think I'll only need a few bits and pieces to take me through next week and will hopefully come in under the £75 budget.0 -
Went to supermarket saturday night. Spent my £105 in vouchers and bought loads of stuff for christmas. Aso bought a new iron(as mine had been dropped and leaked!!!) Anyway out of the Christmas/December budget I only spent £11.93. So I'm Still on track and still a happy bunny!!!!! Hope all is going well for everyone else.
Jacks, BF and any one else who's interested. Seeing your chocolate thing on your post made me think of the aero advert with that hunky young whipper snapper (or should that be whippa snapper???)lol and I thought what a refreshing change seeing a young scantily clad male advertising chocolate instead of a female.     must go update sig!!!GE 36 *MFD may 2043

hi everyone, hope you're all doing well with the challenge
I have booked my xmas + 2 weeks shop with tesco for the end of next week (with code
) & it is just under £100, I have quite a lot already for xmas though as I've been buying a bit each week before I started the grocery challenge Also went to Lidl today, bought 2 bags potatoes, peppers, sprouts, grapes, mushrooms, brocolli, loo roll, ham & mince & it came to £9.77 so will add that on in a mo. Hubby came home with 3 pints of milk last night as they had too much at work :j He thinks I am quite mad as I was really happy about getting free milk
:rotfl:
elly2 -I usually make sweet & sour pork with leftover pork if thats any help0 -
Had to call in for some fresh bread and milk yesterday, i must have left it a bit later than normal as i couldnt find much in the reduced section - that may have been a good thing!!! Still got a three for two offer on energy saving lightbulbs and i had left it that long DS gave me a list!!! bless .... it felt like a normal shop!
I haven't done any Christmas food shopping yet - that comes next week, i hope i can stay as well on track as im doing at the moment!!
BTW, if my fella (current boyfriend) brings bits in with him i.e. bread to help out should i include this? It think it would be incredibly rude to ask what he paid for it as it is essentially a gift. Hence i try to discourage him but wont refuse if he insists.
Good luck everyone!!0 -

Hello All....
Everyone seems to be doing so well this month :T :T ... and just to be different, I am not:o .
So far I have spent £100.30... but I have 3 weeks left:eek:
Been a very weird and eventful first week for me... which may explain my overspends.
I broke my right hand on Wednesday:eek: . And it is sooooo painful.
I was supposed to be going xmas shopping with a friend on Friday, but couldnt as I had too get plastered first.... so I suggested we went for lunch, on me, instead. But it did make me feel better:D, so Im not going to beat my self up about it.
Another friend was visiting for the weekend also... so I went a little overboard with the provisions:o . And because of the broken hand, and I didnt feel like cooking... we had lunch out one of the days, and a takeaway the next night. So now I have a fridge and freezer full of food.
I have £49.70 left of my budget... and think that I will manage with this.
On the plus side ... I wont be spending any more on fuel this month... as I cant drive just now.0 -

sorry to hear about your hand NoPot, please dont beat yourself up about overspends, be good to yourself!
hope you can manage to use up the stock of food you have in, maybe freeze some of it for later in the month?... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

really sorry to hear about your hand nopot
hope the pain goes away soon, how long are you in plaster for? It must be very awkward to cook with a broken hand so try not to be too hard on yourself if you come over budget this month. Hope you are better soon x
