Nothing like a good clear up before photos are taken.Don't assume - just answer the question as best you can with the information you have.3 -
Many of the postings on this thread are very amusing. However, from time to time we get examples like this where disability living aids or medical equipment is clearly visible - and in my view it's rather unpleasant to include examples like this. Yes of course agents shouldn't take and post photos like these - and it's the agents who are responsible for infringing on the privacy of whoever lives (or lived) there. No idea what the circumstances are with this sale - but some of the examples on the thread might involve someone incapacitated and moving into long term care (with no cash to pay for help clearing up) or probate sales where the relatives live miles away. So can I make a suggestion? If someone spots a messy house on Rightmove - if you can see obvious disability / medical equipment - perhaps try to find something more amusing to post here?User36750 said:

(Don't want to single out User36750 - this is not the most troubling example I've seen).9 -
I wonder if it had been a family transaction at under value?Green_hopeful said:https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/128120186#/?channel=RES_BUY Cracking bathroom. Not sure what has happened to increase the value from£180k in 2020 to £350k now0 -
@bobster2 it's an interesting point.Yes, the comment you make is valid but the vendor is selling a significant asset here and the photos are to get people through the door, these do not.We make assumptions based on limited information and rather cruelly I look at those pictures and think "No I don't want that house, it will be a nightmare moving day as the seller probably won't be packed / I will be expected to inconvenience myself to help them move. Also what issues are being hidden by mess."The above is harsh and probably unfair but when narrowing down a list of properties to view, will get crossed off my list when a 'tidy' version might make my list.We looked at a house where the photos showed a jumble of boxes. When we got there, the boxes were as per the months old photos and about 6 years of dust was also revealed.May you find your sister soon Helli.

In fairness the skip out front is full and looks like the bins are ready to be put out…User36750 said:https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/127464770

@bobster2 I see the point about mobility aids suggesting a backstory that shouldn't be made light of, but if we are to draw lines of what is suitable for the thread huge numbers of houses would be unsuitable - repossessions? hoarders? separations? For me the line is drawn on the comments made rather than the property itself.2 -
Quite. If they tidy away the mobility aids before taking the pics, does that make them fair game here?daivid said:

Sewer or water. We had a scheme in Peterborough where they diverted the sewer over the road and it looked like that.0
