The tarp over the roof suggests it needs re thatching. But no mention of that. EPC exempt suggests is is not habitable, but apart from the thatch issue, it looks pretty good inside.

I wouldn't have it at any price.

The Street, in Milton Abbas features in Dorset tourist guides and is on many postcards. It is a very desirable place to live.
Here's the history: In 1780 Joseph Damer, Lord Milton, who was the owner of Milton Abbey decided that the nearby town of Middleton was spoiling his peace and quiet and commissioned the architect Sir William Chambers and the landscape gardener Capability Brown to design a new village, Milton Abbas, in a wooded valley a bit further away and out of sight. Most of the original villagers were relocated here and the old village demolished. One of the original buildings, the Almshouses, were carefully taken down and re-erected in Milton Abbas and can still be seen today.
I'd live there if it wasn't for the fact that this property will be a money pit.6
