It looks like the site manager found there were some materials and an odd corner left over, so he got the lads to see what they could make![Deleted User] said:
Aside from the questionable looks, that must be a very awkward house to live in.

What is out of the picture to the left that would make it unadvisable to have windows on that side?[Deleted User] said:

It looks like a Friday afternoon jobber - Ah man, we haven't left enough space for the carpark! Bet you I can get one more house on that bit. Pffft, bet you can't. Bet I can!
Link please rigolith, I wanna see the inside....Shout out to people who don't know what the opposite of in is.3 -
And I want to see a picture from the other side to see how that strange roof works, and does it have any windows?YoungBlueEyes said:

As well as the "what were they thinking" design, it's got the usual new build quality. Weeds already coming through the paving because a proper underlay costs extra. Pipe ejecting waste onto the street. Drain cover enters the pavement, sure to be accidentally damaged given how narrow it is. No dropped curb, the bin men will love that, as will the bin. "Minimum viable fence" comes as standard. Porch is extra, and the fact that they have a doormat on the outside tells you that the space inside the front door is too small for one. Queue to get out of the rain created by the lack of any shelter doesn't encourage people to use it anyway.
The fake roof is very likely to be poorly built and cause significant maintenance problems in future. A band of red bricks is what passes for "architecture" these days.
Oh and of course there is a utility cover in the middle of the path, because planning to put it anywhere else would be too much hassle.0 -
I managed to dig up the details for you.YoungBlueEyes said:

The inside is standard new build whitewash. There's a floorplan:
You can see it on Google Maps:
Very strange use of the plot, maybe they intend to jam more houses in there. Here's the application:
RIBA accredited """architect""" and everything.

That's a strange one. Clearly the ground has sunk, but no sign of the usual cracks on the building if it was subsidence?Tiglet2 said:
My guess is poor ground, possible made up, knowing this the house and garage have been built on piled foundations so they have not moved, but the poor ground has sunk since the build?0 -
They could at least have put a small window in for the landing![Deleted User] said:
