Spot the owner, still touching-in the dodgy paintwork. Lovely child-friendly gravel surface in the play area.
On a soppier agent's site the owner's comment might read: "We loved it here, but the Elastoplast bills were our undoing." :|

    My god that's grim.
True, it could be made cosier. The village is at some altitude, in the clouds in winter and not near anywhere much. You could say that about moorland property in the West Country too. Strata Florida Abbey just up the road I remember as lovely, but that was a sunny day.

Looking on Google Maps street view it's not so bad. Photos taken in the summer, but still... Tiny little houses, despite there being no lack of space around there. Fronts right onto the road in many cases.

As you say, nothing there, one tiny shop and a little primary school. Many of the houses don't have parking and a car is pretty essential. A lot of it looks to have fallen into disrepair.

Do the folks there a favour then; turn that Mark Drakeford into a pot-smoking hippie. Go on, you know you want to!

Only the strong survive up there. TBH the child is lucky to have gravel to play on…
  • What a strangely laid out house, can’t quite work out of the agent has messed the floorplan up a bit mind you. Though it is odd nevertheless…

The village also has a pub, a garage, cricket team and football team. So doing a lot better than many villages. If you enjoy walking or cycling there is lots of great countryside. Though yes it is isolated and low wages mean it will be rough round the edges. The houses were clearly built before it could be conceived their residents could afford or need a car, on the plus side the choice of destinations is so low half of busses will be going the right way…

Whilst the front door is not quite right, floor plan looks not bad to me.

I live in a town house and sitting room and kitchen are on the first floor - better views that way as near top of hill.

No, I think it's because it's sat on a slope, so the back garden in level with the first floor. Definitely unusual though! :)

I think the floor plan is accurate, the layout has been messed up by the extension for the downstairs back bedroom and upstairs bedroom/office. The other bedroom would have been a garage originally.
