At a guess, 1920/30s build. The layout heavily influenced by the Tudor report, so fairly typical for post war housing. The needs and expectations have changed considerably since then.[DELETED USER] said:FreeBear said:[DELETED USER] said:
No living room. The estate agent wanted to lie about it having 4 bedrooms to get more views, as if people are not going to notice. Well, apparently at least one person didn't, but I'd hope it would become apparent to you if you went to view it.GDB2222 said:
Umm, what is it missing? It’s got one more shrine than most houses have, though.[DELETED USER] said:https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/111299189#/?channel=RES_BUY
This house is missing something important. Here's another one - https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/108486827#Definitely a 3 bed, never 4.
Houses like that are a tragedy. They are just so badly designed. Waste loads of space, awkward room layout, and a garage that is too small for many cars. Can't easily be fixed either.
Unfortunately most houses are built as cheaply as possible, which means design is focused on reducing cost. They don't use architects, only architectural engineers who seem to have no clue about what people actually need from a home.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.1 -
It's amazing what's hidding behind tenement doors.

That master bathroom - why is everything so squished up together? Looks ridiculous. Could have a much bigger bath and longer shower screen too.Gers said:It's amazing what's hidding behind tenement doors.0 -
A photo! A photo!! I can remember the days when you didn't even get a photo. Plus houses had "the usual offices"GaleSF63 said:
At least people have plenty of chance to study the Rightmove photos and layout. In the "olden" days when all you got was one badly photocopied sheet with a photo of the outside, how many journeys could be wasted by only finding out what was was really there, when you viewed. (Not excusing the present-day ones mind.)FreeBear said:[DELETED USER] said:

Partly the angle used for the photograph. If the floorplan is accurate then there are doors opening into the bathroom which would take up space.robatwork said:
I find knees face forward rather than at 45 deg plus towards the side. (Must be my anatomy.)
Not right up against the bath any way - there's room for a rubbish bin between WC and bath.2 -
Ah.. an en suite... and maybe one too many union jack's
