When I was a child our house used to have a green carpet in the bathroom that went up the side of the bath, I remember sitting in the bath feeling like I was outside.

That photo in the bathroom must be to remind them to get their beach body ready .

Worse case of mould growth in a bathroom I've ever seen.

I imagine they would have thought that this was quite fine when it was new. We are so used to living in a world of design dominated by grey and white now that we can't imagine how awesome this might have looked at the time! I wonder if such colour pairings will ever gain popularity again. ....

Perhaps the end of the pandemic might spark the joy of colour again.

I've been holding off a bathroom refurbishment project for years hoping that my pink suite with pink fully tiled walls will be admired by a wider audience than eight-year-old girls.

I find a lot of these posts rather upsetting. I'm not saying that people are wrong to post them, just that I am upset by them.

I can sympathise with the elderly folk, who just didn't want the disruption of workmen in the house. Plus, they came from a generation that was less spoilt, and they didn't feel the need to 'waste' money in order to keep up to date. As long as it worked, they kept it. Hence, the old pink suite, but the new white toilet. And, the listing above is of a £90k house. Maybe, the inhabitants were on the state pension, and they just didn't have the money for updating?
