It doesn’t seem uncommon for insurance not to pay out in these circumstances. It all comes down to the individual policyProDave said:od244051 said:
Pic 9 is the biggest giveaway. You don't have those pipes in the ceiling.tooldle said:
If you look closely you can see some ventilation installation, still in place within the ceilings.NaughtiusMaximus said:
Interesting, I wasn't aware of that.tooldle said:Often, ceilings are knocked out to install the necessary, lighting, heating and ventilation system etc. Water damage is also common as these operations run at high RH. The people who do these things are not concerned about the damage they cause.Yes that's the normal lousy flexible pipe that connects the ceiling extract fan to the outside. My question still remains. If this was the result of a canabis farm, why has the insurance not paid out to reinstate it? Why is is being sold in this state without repair?0 -
I think it must be, it doesn't fit with the floor plan, and all the others do. Maybe it's my overactive imagination, but the pile of bags out in the rain could tell a story. The dishes piled in the sink are a classy addition.Green_hopeful said:

New radiators in those rooms as well, so the old ones probably don't work. It's not really Four Oaks, it's in Blake Street, which has been overtaken with naff brick boxes.Green_hopeful said:
Some interesting design choices. Quite a lot of wood cladding, horse brass collection mounted on cork in the hall. What look like original radiators in some of the downstairs rooms. Exposed stone in the landing. Large slatted window in the roof.Scotbot said:They really like carpet. Even the kitchen is carpeted, pic 7

Maybe it was the owners that were running the cannabis farm.ProDave said:od244051 said:

What insurance? If you let your house to tenants who wreck it, there's no insurance cover.ProDave said:od244051 said:

I would feel VERY let down if a landlords buildings policy did not cover that.GDB2222 said:

I thought the same, then realised that the 1st picture isn't actually the 1st picture you see when you click on the link, the 1st picture is actually the room with the missing ceiling and the cross on the wall.General_Grant said:
