We had a telephone seat in the hallway, under the stairs. When I was little we had a party line. Anyone remember party lines? It was a fab way of keeping on top of what the neighbours were up to. :)
I remember party lines and being sent over the road to tell them they'd knocked the phone off the hook. They were posh and had it in the lounge next to the settee. We could hear everything going on in their house lol.  Ours was in the hall with a hard wooden seat.

Tenanted  "6 Bedroom" house of multiple occupation .
Let's hope everyone doesn't want to cook dinner at the same time with that relatively small kitchen.

By the looks of it it's an old telephone exchange/ where the operators worked. But isn't currently.
Yes, it's connected with BT or telecoms. There's an Openreach van parked at the other side.
A single "review" comment also confirms that it is an exchange.
"SamKnows" site also indicates it's still in use.

I feel like they've inflated the price of this one by £20k from what is reasonable for the area because they have a "trendy" diagonally painted wall and green metro tiles in the bathroom and kitchen. Knowing Bristol, it will sell soon .

I wondered why there were no outside shots. And then I saw it. It isn't a looker is it?
    Looks like a converted garage.

Needs a bit of paint on the walls.... Certainly not seeing a value of £400K once the work is done, regardless of standard.

Anybody with a brain will just look at "Market Information" as see there is nothing in the £400k range for up-to-spec houses of a similar type.

4 bedroom detached house for sale in Ashurst Road, West Moors, BH22 (rightmove.co.uk) Interesting choice of CGI for the garden in the "walk though"  There is nothing like it in the vacinity so can only imagine they considered it aspirational

Wonder what the back story is? Someone had a sudden (and presumably unhappy) change of circumstances presumably.

Aspirational pylons? Weird, not what you'd like to see , can't see anything like that in Street view apart from a few telegraph poles.

Hmmm. Says recently purchased by the current owner but last sale recorded in 2002.Though Land Registry
can take several months to update. Though if recent the work must have started very quickly but abandonment must have been sudden .
