In the absence of a utility room, I'm astounded at the number of people who put the kitty litter tray in the kitchen rather than the bathroom !
My parents have one in the kitchen (and one in the bathroom) because the cats are let out into the garden from the kitchen so if they need to go when nobody is around they automatically head to the kitchen to be let out, then they have accidents in the kitchen so makes more sense to have a second (but rarely used) litter tray there. But leaving it dirty and not even taking it out of the room for photos when trying to sell is kind of disgusting.

One I am probably off to have a look at tomorrow - normally I don't view places I don't think I'll offer on (and I would love to take this on, but with it being listed you're probably looking at six figures just to get the correct windows put in and my developing career is not yet at that stage!!) but it's an open view, so fair game!

I don’t get that as a development opportunity. You can spend a couple of hundred thousand doing it up, but then you’ll need to sell for £300k+ and property round there just isn’t all that expensive. There’s a respectable 3 bed bungalow on the market for £125k.

or are there grants available to help?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

One estimate for renovation was £1,000,000. Grants and funding could be available from a number of sources of depending on the final use of the building - The building was gifted to the people of Castletown, and any funding would be dependent on it remaining in public use.

Am  I right in thinking that there is the top half of an Anderson shelter in the far corner of that garden?  The colour and the shape are unusual for a normal garden shed.

Large plot but of limited practical use.  I was thinking maybe a drag strip?  And not sure about the neighbourhood...
    Grunty Fen Road!!
Back in the 1970s in the office in Peterborough where I worked, the words Grunty Fen were synonymous with "in the middle of nowhere"

If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

Absolutely. Talk about how NOT to stage your house. You'd think it would be a no-brainer wouldn't you? When we were selling I moved all obvious signs of cat when we had viewings (much to the disgust of said cat I may say, who generally adjourned to the garden in high dudgeon :) ).

It's a gorgeous building isn't it? I can see it would be tempting. Would love to turn up with torch and have a look. OP, do let us know what it was like inside.

The other one has disappeared and any posts I have made are not listed in either my posts or thanks.

I've just realised I wasn't getting notifications from what is undoubtedly the best ongoing thread on MSE.....and it's gone. Anyway the admins have enough to do sorting out the countless other botches on this new forum engine so I won't fret. Shame though. Perhaps a forum mod should just start a new thread every 100 pages and close this one?
