Quite a mark up over the couple of years they have owned it.Mutton_Geoff said:Stick some plastic grey decking on the exterior, stick it with a posh agent and ask over a million quid

I suspect that house has fallen foul of 'Frenchic Fashion' where people paint their PVC front door in chalk paint. If I'm right then I give it a couple of years at most before it starts peeling or chipping. I'll even hazard a guess that they have used Blackjack for the door and something like Greyhound for the porch.2 -
Or the one year to when they started trying to flog it at that price...Green_hopeful said:

Hope new owners keep the gorgeous tiling by the front door and hall. Only good things that are going for this property.Oxon said:Bet the neighbours are pleased this is being sold!

Indeed, the tiling in pic 3's interesting, looks like the sort of thing which would have been in a Victorian pub rather than a home.od244051 said:

Don't get me wrong, I'm not dissing the paint - far from it, in fact I'm in the middle of painting a wooden chair with it right now. It just seems that some people get a bit frenzied about what they use it on. I've seen hairdryers, kettles etc painted with it. It's a chalk furniture paint, not a miracle covering for anything that stands still long enough.Oxon said:Bet the neighbours are pleased this is being sold!

A quick lick of paint and it will be looking good in no time ... (love the floor in the hallway though).
ETA: Unoccupied for 40 years
