That part of the Thames also suffers from flooding from time to time.

I didgeri-don't think buying that place would be sensible. There is, as they say up North, watter on t'floor in a couple of rooms, which is never a good sign for the structural side of things. Broken windows are also of concern — the place possibly has been, and may continue to be, a vandal magnet, given its reputation. Staying with that, one may have to deal with video-camera toting ghouls with an interest in the place.
It's actually a nice house architecturally, for all that…
