I thought it seemed familiar!

well the house isn’t responsible for what he did

I agree with you entirely. I can't see that it matters.
Edit: I'd better clarify that. Of course, what Harris did was wrong, but it wouldn't put me off the house. The fact that it's far too big for me would though.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?2 -
oh yes it’s huge. I’d rattle around a bit 😂 And the dusting and vaccing 😲
Not for me😂 though lovely by the river I’d demolish it and build a nice small home

Actually, I think the knowledge of who the previous owner was would potentially put me off (though leaving all that aside, I'm not fond of the house anyway). I get that it isn't the fault of the house and that every house has a history but for me it's a bit too recent to feel comfortable.

If anyone is interested in the auction, it's being streamed live tomorrow.

I agree about the size and it also seems to big for the plot to me, all the houses seem to be crammed uncomfortably close together and to be too big for most people from what I could see in the photos.

You also have to tolerate occasional boat trips going past your riverfront garden, with passengers having celeb-worthy houses pointed out to them (I remember Rolf's and Michael Parkinson, this was back when both were alive and scandal-free).

it’s all moot as I don’t have millions and I can’t move down south anyway.
And practically speaking I’m not sure living by a river is wise, lovely though the idea is.0 -
That part of the Thames also suffers from flooding from time to time.
