• The rich buy assets.
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

@rhemmings we have a couple of life sized cardboard figures. James Bond in the kitchen. We had to punch a hole in his head and tie him to the kitchen unit to stop our robotic vacuum cleaner from taking him out. Possibly not a sentence I imagined I would be writing. They were presents from one grown up son to another.2

A tale of at least two houses. This one has a genuinely odd, almost schizophrenic character, given the disparity between the interior and exterior. Inside, the lower two storeys of the house are standard-issue, nouveau-riche Essex plush; it may even have been modernized as I'm not sure the configuration is original. Further upstairs is a different story (geddit), however, in that the rooms are empty, shabby and have an abandoned air about them. The exterior of the house, outdoor areas and garage all look to have suffered long-term neglect; various bits even look semi-derelict - something not helped by the abandoned car in the drive.
It's a fairly new build as well - less than 20 years old at any rate. Odd that simultaneous downfall and tarting up have occurred so quickly and in piecemeal fashion. Oh, and check the final photo for a truly manky air conditioning heat exchanger!2
