To be fair I think these people would bring their own personality to a new build too and, sadly for the buyer of theirs, their dog.

Lots of nice things in there including the dog. It doesn't look cluttered to me, however. Nice balance.

This is one of those houses where my first thought in Sir David Frost's voice is "who lives in a house like this?"

Anyway, quite a nice house, not enough pictures really given the value IMHO. But twin bathtubs? I don't get twin sinks if I'm honest, but is this a couples goal or something? I know I'm not romantic, my OH tells me often enough, but I don't think he'd want me ruining his peace when he has a bath either

I agree. I can't think of anything worse. A 'Jack & Jill' bathroom is one thing but a 'Jack & Jill' bath arrangement is quite another!

I've seen that quite often. There will be a reason. I sometimes wonder if it was pre-double glazing improving the insulation of the house. Or: dungeons.

Between 1696 and 1851, one had to pay a tax on the number of windows. Some claim that this lead to windows being bricked up to avoid the tax. Others suggest that it was an architectural thing. Take your pick.

I've also heard that bricked up windows, which apparently gave rise to the expression 'daylight robbery', were a form of 'future proofing'. 

Gosh, I didn't know that's where the expression originated. Makes perfect sense however!
