Not ashamed to say I had to Google that reference.Owain_Moneysaver said:0 -
I always assumed that the writer of the Hyacinth Bouquet series had lived either in a household like that or knew one very well because so much of the small detail rang true.BooJewels said:
I don't think I've seen pale blue sanitary ware before. That's the kind of house you'd feel obligated to take your shoes off at the door - and if you didn't, you'd probably be asked. It's very nice. The house next to my parents' place was a smaller version of that - the wife just cleaned inside full time and he did the same outside.Cairnpapple said:I'm obsessed with the details of the bathroom in picture 24 (the wood ceiling! the feature tile! the blind! the curtains!)

Loads of pictures of the front for some reason and !!!!!! is picture 12 all about?Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £19,575.020

Image 12 is a close up of the rather attractive frosted glass of the bathroom window. Said glass will inevitably end up in a skip after a member of the paint it grey mob inevitably buys the place, takes one look and screeches 'the vibes inside of here give me the ick'...Abbafan1972 said:Loads of pictures of the front for some reason and !!!!!! is picture 12 all about?2 -
Yes I get it’s a close up of frosted glass, but thought it was a bit of a pointless picture, to be honest.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £19,575.020

But what about the noise? Whichever way you look at it, it is still very close to the M25!robatwork said:
Well it was pretty hideous before too. The garden does have some lovely trees where you can rest your weary eyes.Green_hopeful said:
I wonder if a musician bought it, would they be inspired to compose a British equivalent of "Autobahn" using the incessant rhythmic pounding of vehicles over the concrete blocks to characterise the life and energy of the motorway, there might also be an influence from the railway but Gatwick with E/W runway might be too far away to add any meaningful tempo or specfic and relevent comment.1 -
That's peculiar, as you're the one who referenced the film " Beetlejuice". Presume you've watched it and how it summons up its eponymous ghost.Abbafan1972 said:
Not sure what this means?robatwork said:@Abbafan1972 Well for sure I'm not saying WestByfleet 3 times, lest this taste bypass appears in my own pad.1 -
I've lived near the M25, but nowhere near this near. The hum is constant but didn't really bother me. This is very near and there's no escape from it even in this "luxury". But now I'm off to play "Autobahn", maybe the full 23 min version.BikingBud said:
