Well done on your weight loss! I definitely need to take a leaf out of your book. Also agree with everyone else that your lodger has it very good and shouldn’t be complaining about a little bit of a rise! She should also be contributing to the cleaning so I think you’re well within your rights to try to set that boundary with her.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Thanks there has been some difficult days but I have to remember I'm in it for the long haul and I won't lose it overnight.
I know I'm trying hard to not get annoyed and snap but will see how it goes. I did washing up on Friday and she did the drying up. I've cleaned the kitchen so waiting to see if she does the bathroom or if it gets left to me. She mentioned she would sort the living room which is where the bunnies are. Have to wait and see what happens. She's found a recipe she wants to try so at least she will be cooking one day this week and joked that's her quota for the month. I didn't laugh.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7300

Another 2lbs gone. Nice to see progress in the right direction and that what I'm doing is working. Still a long way to go. But that's 22lbs lost in total. I can feel the difference in my clothes.
Housemate has been helping out more this week. She cooked dinner Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. Mostly because I wasn't feeling great but its all progress and when it's an easy meal I'm going to maybe suggest she do it. We've been doing the washing up together so one washes and one dries so that's a good sign as well. Still no progress on kitchen and bathroom cleaning but she is now cleaning the living room twice a week after the bunnies now they are sharing a pen and litter tray. Gonna see how long these changes last before start mentioning more cleaning. If she pulls her weight in terms of cooking and clearing up I can live with the bit of cleaning at weekend. Might suggest that I clean bathroom and we do kitchen together at weekends when we do tidying up. Think that might be a good compromise for now.
In terms of money front, budget is going well for this month. But started getting toothache last night so think a trip to dentist might be needed next week when I'm off. I don't have a fund for this or opticians (although I claim this back from work) so I think that might have to be my next category on ynab.
I sold my coffee machine that I never used and have even using the cash to pay for food shopping and transferring it into my savings account so that's my if forgot something account. It also has my birthday money in it. Think this might have to to towards the dentist cost and then just repay myself the birthday money.
Need to reign the takeaways in though as been having one every weekend for last 3 weekends and housemate wants another one this weekend. I do have the spends for it but feels like such a waste of my money. I want to go back to at least every other week but ideally once a month. Its good to know that I can still lose weight and have a takeaway though its a good sign for future that I won't have to miss out just have to be sensible.

I too struggle with the takeaways. Am basically down to one a week now but it’s the same issue, bubble friends fancy one and feel tight saying no ha. But once a week isn’t too bad given the circumstances. If you can cut it back more then great.August 2019: £28.8k

Well done on the weight loss, that’s fab, I’m up to 11 lbs off now, hope to reach over a stone soon. Personally I find takeaways hard to stop as it’s feels like one of a few things we can actually do at the minute. I have the hygienist this afternoon. I knew it was coming so budgeted for it in this months pay. There’s always something though isn’t there, when you think you have everything covered.1

Well done on the weightloss, that's a great result. Glad your housemate is helping out more. What about looking up some healthy takeaway style recipes? There are loads out there which are pretty good."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0

Another 2 pounds off that’s fantastic. Great your housemate doing a wee bit more, if your happy cleaning bathroom (I love cleaning bathroom it’s my favourite chore, just love seeing it gleaming 😂) Then I think after dishes would be a good idea to get her involved without her really realising 😂😂.
when your no longer enjoying the takeaways then it’s definitely a waste of money, if it was tasty and you enjoyed it then that would be money worth spending on a treat x1 -

I think it might be the best way forward if try and work some of chores into our new clearing up routine.
I don't mind doing the bathroom tbh or the kitchen just fed up with doing everything. But if can get more of the daily stuff done by housemate then I can live with the rest.
I think it's because we had same thing 3 weeks in a row. My housemate wants pizza from that D place this weekend. But we shall see.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7300

Annoyingly though, actually discovered a very good Chinese 5 minutes walk away that is cheap and wasn’t at all greasy! Been searching for a good Chinese in London for years ha. They don’t deliver but that is probably a good thing...the fact it’s so close and cheap means delivery is seriously bad value (double the price for worse food) but at the same time, the fact I have to leave the flat means I’ll only go when it’s planned ha.
The lesson for me is that a good takeaway is a worthwhile treat, eating it for the sake of it is a waste.August 2019: £28.8k
