Hi Sarah popped in and managed to catch up. My girls  back to school and it's amazing having a spare 10minutes with a cup of tea. You're making great progress on the cash and weigh loss front. I'm back on slimming world.

How is it having them back at school? Are you OK with it?
Thanks I lost another 2lbs this week and starting to notice a difference in my clothes. I did look at WW as work offer 12 weeks free but what I'm doing is working at the moment. If that changes then I may take up the offer.

It's great to be honest, I'm pleased for them. Our eldest is in Y11 and she's got 12 weeks of school left. It's such a big transition, especially knowing that a lot of the year will split and take different paths. It's been stressful not knowing about exams etc, but she has a timetable when everything is happening now. Her mini exams are in May and she leaves at the end. She's just ready to get this year done and looking forward to starting A levels.

That's great if you can get 12 weeks free....just think how much you could lose in 3months.

Good luck to her. I wouldn't want to be doing my gcses at the moment.

I know but what I'm doing is working at the moment and free so whilst it works I will keep going as I am. I don't like following plans really like that as your kind of stuck with it. I'm just calorie counting and exercising more at the moment which feels more sustainable long term. I'm down 20lbs since Jan 4th and I've had several takeaways in that time too. Only really upped the exercise since start of march so be good to see where I'm at come the end. I took my measurements as well to have a comparison as well as scales. I've always been a slow loser due to medication and hormones sadly.

Well done with the weight loss you are doing brilliant 👏
  • Amazing progress Sarah! I've finally found the motivation to change my lifestyle. I've started strength training & I'm watching what I eat, for me it's not even about losing weight (that would be a bonus), I just want to feel stronger, fitter & healthier.

Thanks. I'm upping the exercise at the moment along side the food side of things so hoping to start to see a change from that perspective as well as lose weight. I've already managed to skim 10 mins off my daily walk but have hurt my back so had to take a break from my sit ups. Instead doing my squats and arm raises instead.
